I didn't know what to do. Well, I did, but I was afraid. I wouldn't be able to do it. I couldn't kill one of the geeks as Daddy calls them. They are still like people to me. I could see a few more of them start to come out of woods and towards the one that was gathered around me.

I had to do something. I opened the drivers side and pushed the geek to the ground with the door. It's body hit the ground and made a smoothing sound from the rotted flesh. He or she must have turned early on. I seen another coming my way.

I had to think quickly and make another plan. The knife that Daddy gave me.

I pulled it from my pocket and went to stab the geek in the head like Daddy told me too. The geek grabbed me and pushed me to the ground. I had two of them now attacking me. I screamed as loud as I could fighting for my life and looked to my left to see Merle, staring at me with his hands in his hips.

"Help me!" I yelled to him. He didn't move. I kicked and pushed at the geeks, trying to knock them off of me so I could run away. They were too strong though. This was it, I was going to die.

An arrow pierced through the head of the one on top of me and then the one trying to grab my feet. I pushed them off of me and stood up running to Daddy, knowing he was the one who saved me.

I jumped into his arms and squeezed him tight. Shane, Merle, Lori, Carol, Sophia and Carl all stood around us. Carol's husband was sitting in the car. Daddy turned around and glared at Merle. He was going to flip out. "Didn't bother tryin' to help her?" Daddy growled to his brother. The tension was thick and we all felt it.

"She needs to learn for herself to fight, or else she ain't gonna be around very long Darylina!" Merle shouted at us. Daddy shook his head and waved an arrow in Merle's face. "Ya' don't understand, she's different. She can't kill geeks and she won't." Daddy turned around and pulled me towards the truck. Daddy was right about me being different. My little side left me scared and weak and I couldn't help it. It wasn't like I could stop being little, it was something that was part of who I am.

"I'm sorry I got out of the truck. I had to try and fight." I whispered to Daddy as he buckled me into my seat belt. "It's alright baby girl. Ye' tried and that's all that matters. Jus' don't do it again. Stay put or I'll have ya' come with me." Daddy slammed my door and walked to the drivers side. He slipped in and placed his crossbow between us.

Daddy and them found a good amount of supplies in town, even a few extra tents for us. "Where too now?" I asked kicking my feet back and forth. "Shane knows a place, the quarry. It has a campsite. Hopefully no one has taken it over yet." Daddy explained as we drove. I watched the cars in front of us slow down and I noticed an RV sitting along side the road. "Ohh Daddy looky!" I said and pointed to the dog that jumped out of the RV. I unbuckled my seat belt and opened the truck door. The large German Shepard dog barked and ran towards me. "Puppy!" I squealed and got down on the roadside. "Ally!" I heard Daddy yelled. "Get back here!" I looked up and seen Shame talking with an older man with a hat. I stood up and walked over to Daddy. "In the truck," he said lowly. I got in and sat in Daddy's seat letting my legs hang out the door since it was still open.

He stalked over to me with a very angry look on his face. "Don't ever run away from me like that, especially now. That man could be crazy and that dog could've attacked ya'." "But none of that happened." I told him. Daddy put a finger to my lips. "Don't back talk me." I lowered my head, embarrassed that I was getting in trouble right now.

"Sorry," I whispered and fumbled with my hands. "Hey," Daddy lifted my chin and held my face firmly, looking me in the eyes. "It's alright, just don't do it again or yer' gonna be in trouble." I smiled a little and wrapped my arms around him. "Thank you for not giving me a punishment." I kissed his neck.

"I don't believe in that immediate punishment bullshit. Ya' gotta look at the circumstances, and why they did it." I agreed with Daddy. Some daddy dominants had rules and if you broke them then punishment was immediately after, there was no discussion. I didn't like that idea. What if I was grumpy or didn't get enough sleep? What if I was going through a rough time? Daddy's should learn when and when not to punish there little. If I'm feeling sad and mess up the last thing I want is for Daddy to scold me or take something away. I want to feel loved when I'm upset, not like a disappointment.

"Looks like we gotta chinaman joinin' the group." Merle chuckled as he appraised us. Daryl looked over at the new group. We learned their names were Glenn, Dale, Andrea, Amy, Theodore (T-Dog for short) and Jacquie. Daddy and I haven't met them yet, or seen them much, but we know their names, I just don't know who is who.

"When we get to the quarry are we going to camp?" I asked Daddy and grabbed his free hand that he wasn't using to drive. "Yes we are, baby." "In tents?" I was curious about camping. I've never been camping before. Daddy nodded and gave me a smile.

We haven't passed any vehicles, well none that were running and carrying live people. Everyone was dead and I hated that thought. What about my parents? I hoped they were okay. I'd rather not know what happen to them than see them like the geeks. The geeks scared me and I was afraid that they would take me away from Daddy. But, Daddy promised that wouldn't happen to us and I hope he was right.

We made it to the quarry around dark. Shane told us to sleep in our vehicles and tomorrow we would spend the day securing, setting up camp and watch shifts. I hope Daddy has watch during the day that way we can sleep together at night. I can't sleep without him near me.

We made a small dinner for the group and Daddy brought me mine in the truck. I've spent more time in the truck than outside in the past two days. I wanted out, but with what happened the last two times I don't think Daddy would let me wander too far off. Everyone was asleep by now. We didn't have anyone on watch tonight because no one was in a tent. I was pressed between the seat and Daddy's back. I wrapped my arms around his waist and held him rather than him holding me. He was really sleepy and I could that this world was stressing him out with how it changed. There was no internet, television, government, law. We were what's left of the world.

🦄Sorry for not updating. I used to write a new chapter every night, but then that left me exhausted for the next day because I'd be up until 1am or 2am trying to finish it. I've decided not to do that anymore, so updates may not be everyday or every other day. I'll probably update three times a week for this story, maybe more if I can get it in. I have like 13 other stories (I think) that I need to write for too, and it's difficult when I update five different stories and then I get a comment saying please update. Like, please calm down I just wrote five chapters all over 1000 words. My brain is fried. But I do love your comments and votes and I've noticed that updating everyday isn't helping my stats. I'm hoping I get over 30 votes on this considering that some of the other chapters have over 50. Are 20 of you not voting or something? Lol none of you are probably still reading this boring authors note. Oh well, I tried.

🙁I'm probably going to close to kik group chat too, it's been boring lately. Like it's not the people, it's just no one writes anything like usual. I may keep it if people join, but half of you are probably afraid of me. I'm nice. Join my kik group chat. Just message me on kik: helen_friend and I will add you to the group.

💜Salted Wound is almost at 100k views. For you new people, it was my first Ddlg story on here! :) it's Norman Reedus too, so it's great. I can't believe the popularity it has, and this story!!! It's crazy popular right now in Ddlg! Yay! 🎈🎈
