"Did you see anyone last night?" I heard come from members of the group as I ate. "No, most of us were sleeping." Glenn told Rick. Rick rubbed his face and shook his head. "We have to check everyone's footprints." Rick spoke up. "Alright, but I doubt any of us did it." Shane said from behind him. "I wouldn't be too sure." Daddy said walking into the group. "Foot print is pretty small and wide, means it wasn't Glenn, Rick, Shane or me. Ally was with me. Lori was with Rick. Sophia was with Carol and Carol was in the same tent as Andrea. Almost everyone had an alibi last night except for a few people, those people being Kyle, and Steven."

"What are you insinuating, Dixon?" Kyle stepped closer to Daddy. Kyle was unpredictable at this point and I was getting scared, not only for the group, but for Daddy. "That ya' were creeping around the damn place last night. Who knows what ya' did. Got mud tracks from the woods and all 'round the cars where we slept."

"The woods?" Lori gasped. "Yeah." Daddy answered. Lori covered her mouth in shock. "That's where we went to shower last night with Sophia." Carol whimpered. Everyone was tense and 'pissed off' as Daddy would say. Rick came up behind Kyle and grabbed his neck, forcing him to his knees. "So it hasn't just been Ally? Has it?" Rick asked. Kyle gave a wicked smirk to me.

"Don't look at her. Don't look at anyone." Rick was furious. "Please don't hurt him." We heard Steven speak up. "He's my son, please. He's just... I tried to stop him... But." Steven was stampeding on, unable to form coherent sentences. "But what?" Daddy asked.

"Shut up, Dad!" Kyle yelled. Steven was crying, unable to speak because of it. "Tell us! Now!" Shane screamed and pulled out his gun. He pointed it at Steven who was crying and begging for us not the hurt them. "It was weeks ago, before we met you and before the CDC went down. I swear, I had nothing to do with it."

"Nothing to do with what! I swear man, you better tell me right now or I'll kill you both!" Shane screamed and kept his gun pointed over at Steven and then pulled out a knife, holding it towards Kyle's throat. I felt my heart rate go up at the sight of the knife, but I stayed calm. "I tried to stop him. He went ballistic. Those women, they were so young. Just young girls. I didn't touch them. It wasn't me. I wanted to stop him and I tried, but it was too late. He ruined those young girls, and then it continued for weeks. Every night! I heard the screams! The cries. It was too much for me. Before long we were the only two left. They either died from the disease or ran off. I didn't want any of this to happen. Please!" Steven was on his knees, sobbing into his hands as he rested on the roadside. "Jesus..." Daddy muttered and started pacing back and forth, rubbing his hand along his jaw. Kyle spoke up to his father, "thought you wouldn't tell anyone, dad!" Daddy walked over to Kyle without a word and punched him in the face, knocking him out in one blow. He went to kick Kyle, but Rick held him back. "Don't. Not yet." He said. Kyle was now out cold in the road. "Please, don't hurt me. I didn't do anything. That's my boy and I love him. I swear, I tried to stop him. I swear!" I felt bad for Steven because I believed him. I could see that Kyle was a bad person, but Steven was different. He had an innocent and kind soul that wasn't capable of pulling a stunt like that. He wouldn't sexually assault innocent girls, but hearing this now I knew that's what kind of person Kyle was.

"What do we do? We can't just leave him here." Andrea said. "Yeah, we can. Both of them." Daddy growled. "Oh no! Please! Please, don't do that. I've kept that secret for so long that it ate me alive. I'm a good person, I swear to you. My son isn't the same as he used to be. He was never like that, ever! This world changed him." I got up and went over to Daddy who was leaning against one of the cars. He had his arms crossed over his chest and I could tell he was thinking hard. "Daddy?" I whispered. "Are you okay?" I asked lightly, hoping I wouldn't upset him. "I'm fine, just got mad is all. Can't stand Kyle and I'm not too happy 'bout his dad. I think he's lyin'." Daddy admitted to me. I didn't respond because I knew that if I told Daddy how I felt he would get upset.

"Don't ya' agree?" Daddy asked. I wasn't about to lie and say I did, even if it made him mad at me. "I think Steven is telling the truth." I bit my lip and looked at the ground, avoiding all eye contact. "Ya' can't be serious. He's just tryin' to cover for Kyle. I wouldn't trust either of them with ya'." Daddy grunted and kicked some rocks on the side of the road. "I don't trust them either, but he's nice, I'm sure of it." I was trying to justify myself. The only reason I thought Steven was a good person was because I could see it in his eyes. I could tell he meant no harm to me or the rest of the group, but Kyle was different he had the dark and scary look in his eye when he stared at you. Almost like he was running scenarios through his head on how to hurt you.

"Ally, we're not havin' this discussion. It's ending now!" Daddy was firm and I never he was serious. "But-" "I don't. Wanna. Hear. It. Now more about it Ally. I'm serious." I shrunk back sadly, embarrassed that he had to yell at me in front of everyone. "Okay." I sighed. I was defeated and I couldn't change that. They wouldn't listen me to no matter what I said, so what was the point in trying.

"I'm gonna go talk with Rick. Ya' stay here and play with yer' crayons. I better not hear one complaint out of ya'. I'm already on my least nerve." I sat down and pouted. I didn't want to argue with him, so I stayed quiet. "Yes, Daddy."

"Daryl, you wanna take Ally over to Carol and Lori. We're gonna deal with Kyle." It was Shane and he had a gun in his hand. "Yeah, come on baby." Daddy reached a hand out for me, and I shook my head. "No." I growled and walked over to Lori. "Why don't we go look for more supplies. T-Dog, you wanna join us, and be on watch?" Lori asked him. "Yes, ma'am." "Be careful, baby." Daddy said sweetly and touched my arm, but I pulled away from him. "Don't touch me." I whispered. I watched Lori smile sadly at Daddy. "Let's go, Ally." Lori said sweetly pulling me along with her and Carol.
