After last night in the woods with Tyler, I went straight home as I'd used the rest of my patience on him and decided it was best that I go and relax instead of taking it out on someone else. When I woke up the next morning, I had missed calls and several messages from friends. Scanning through them, one takes my attention from the rest. Vicki had been attacked. Once I got to Elena's, she quickly explained that Vicki was found in the woods and it seems she was attacked by some animal and was taken to hospital last night. Guilt ran through my body for leaving her and for not going back to check on her. Elena tried to take my mind off it quickly as she began to talk about what happened between her and Stefan, I nodded along and acted enthusiastically when it seemed necessary but Vicki still played though head.
While Elena and I were grabbing our stuff from around her bedroom to leave, Jenna rushed to the door stopping us in our tracks.
"Do I look adult? As in respectfully parental?" She asks looking at both of us with a distressed face.
We both look at her up and down, I tilt my head while trying to decide.
"Depends on where you're going." Elena comments.
"Jeremy's parent-teacher conference. Hair up or down?" The older woman replies while walking up to the mirror, playing with her hair, putting it into different hairstyles.
"Good luck with that," I mumble about the conference causing Elena to ignore me while Jenna glares slightly while putting her hair up look at us for our opinion.
"Sexy stewardess." Elena says about Jenna's hair. Then Jenna lets it back down. "Boozy housewife."
"Up it is. You're feisty today." Jenna concludes looking at her niece. Elena smiles at Jenna as a small laugh escapes her lips.
"Probably got to do with new guy," I comment, leaning against the wall while I watch the two. Jenna's eyebrows to go up at this new information.
"No, it's not that. I feel good, which is rare. So I've decided to go with it. Fly free, walk on the sunshine, and all that stuff." Elena answers, then walks past Jenna to glance in her brothers room, "Where is Jeremy?"
"He left early. Something about getting to wood shop early to finish a birdhouse." Jenna answers, adjusting her hair in the mirror.
I try not to choke as a cough gets trapped in my throat at the obvious lie and she apparently believed. Jenna looks at mine and Elena's reflections. Elena looking confused while a try to hide the smirk appearing on my face.
"There is no wood shop, is there?" She questions.
Me and Elena look at each other before in sync saying "no."
Jenna looks at us, sighing, "yeah."

At school, not much happened apart from Elena and Stefan's ongoing flirting and Bonnie talking about her grams telling her, she's from a line of witches. After leaving Bonnie and Caroline, I decide to go get a breath of air outside, so I made my way down the corridor and open the doors to then face Jeremy and Tyler at each others throats. Deja vu?
