"So, you're saying that the vampires have been released from the tomb and now you've made a deal with Pearl?" I say looking at Damon with confusion.
"It was more like a helpful exchange of information. And it's not like I had a choice. She's... scary. Besides, she's gonna help me get Katherine back." He replies with a shrug.
"I can't believe you! Why would you do this? It's always about what you what, isn't it, you haven't even thought this through!" I stare at the Salvatore with pure annoyance while he just scoffs in response.
"This isn't being very productive. We're gonna figure out a way to deal with Pearl and the vampires. Yeah?" Stefan says pulling our focus back to the main point.
Damon shakes his head then leaves the room while Stefan turns to face me.
"What are we going to do, Stefan? We have a load of vampires running around town, how are we going to sort this?" I ask scrunching my eyebrows together thinking.
"Damon and I are gonna handle everything, I promise." He says looking straight at me and a part of me wants to believe him.
"And what am I meant to do? Why can't I help?"
"You're going to do nothing, that way you're going to be kept safe."
"Stefan, I'm not Elena," I say as I stand up walking away, "I don't need looking after all the time."
I feel him grab my wrist and slowly turn me around, standing inches away from each other. His hand slides down into mine while the other lifts my chin so I look at him in the eyes. my breath hitches in the back of my throat as he stares so intensely.
"I know you're not like Elena. I don't want you to be. Kyra, I want to keep you safe so you know how much you mean to me." He whispers, his breath hitting my face.
I reach up, placing my hands on the sides of his face, "I'm the most safe when I'm by your side."
Stefan nodded slowly with a smile on his face, he pulls me into a hug, his arms wrapping around my neck. Mine around his waist. His face snuggles into my hair. "I can't loose you," He whispers, nearly quiet enough to miss. I hugged him tighter wishing we could stay like this forever.

My phone rings, again. Damon's names popped up on my screen. Then again.
"What?" I answer.
"Is Stefan with you?"
"No, I left him at your house. Why? What's wrong?" I say urgently.
"He went out in the woods and didn't come back. I can't get him on his phone. I figured he was with you." Damon replies.
"Where do you think he could be?" I ask.
"You're not going to like what I'm thinking."
"Oh, great."

Damon, Elena and I headed to the house where the vampires had been staying in the woods to get Stefan, if they have him. Although, Damon didn't want me or Elena to come with him, he knew that we were too stubborn to let him go by himself so he didn't fight me on the situation (surprisingly) but tried to get Elena to stay home (unsurprisingly). Damon had left us in his car to go to the house to try and get Stefan.
Not long after, Damon started walking back to his car, so I quickly got out.
"Have they got him?" I ask as I reach him.
