"I'm not saying don't date the guy. I'm just saying take it slow." Bonnie states as we step out of her car. Elena had been talking about Stefan which lead to Bonnie warning her about him. Although I didn't know the guy, I wasn't fully against him like Bonnie. Stefan seemed a mystery and that was concerning, especially when it comes to Elena dating him, but he hadn't done anything wrong so far either.
The sun was bright, making my face feel warm as I looked up at the sky. I shut the car door behind me as I made my way next to Elena.
"You were the one who said to go for it." Elena said pointing at Bonnie as she tries to stick up for her idea of being with Stefan.
"Now I'm saying take it slow." Bonnie gives Elena a small smile.
"Aren't we kind of back tracking here?" I question looking between the two, "Elena and Stefan seem to be in love already so why stop them?"
Bonnie sighs, looking down at the floor for a moment as if she was recollecting all her thoughts, thinking on what to say next. My eyebrows scrunched together as I watched her, trying to figure out what could have possibly happened to make Bonnie even more cautious of Stefan then before.
"Because I just think they should take their time." Bonnie shrugs as if it wasn't a big deal.
"Why the about-face?" Elena asks looking at Bonnie suspiciously, catching my eyes quickly to check whether I knew what was going on.
"It's not an about-face. You're single for the first time in your entire high school career. It's the perfect time to play the field." Bonnie says.
"And you can totally see Elena being that girl." I state sarcastically, laughing at Bonnie's reasoning.
"What are you not saying?" Elena asks trying to keep us on topic so that Bonnie would tell us.
"It's stupid," Bonnie says quickly, looking away and speeding up slightly to get away.
Elena's hand grabs Bonnie's arm quickly, pulling her back to us before she could leave.
"Bonnie..." Both me and Elena say in sync.
"What?" Bonnie questions urgently.
"Spit it out." Elena says showing she's loosing her patience.
Bonnie tilts her head, giving Elena a quick sincere look.
"I accidentally touched Stefan. And I got a really bad feeling." Bonnie says looking down for a moment knowing it sounded idiotic.
"Is that it?" I question and Bonnie sighs before turning on her heels to leave but Elena grabs her again. "I thought he'd murdered someone or is psycho, not just a feeling, Bonnie." I sigh, slightly relieved that nothing had happened.
"It was bad bad!" Bonnie tries to explain.
"Is this the whole witch mojo thing again?" Elena asks playful.
