Chapter: 10 I hate you mother nature

Vadison's pov
I woke up and groaned in annoyance. I was not in a good mood this morning. Mother Nature decided to call, so I was not feeling well. I took some medicine for my cramps and did my morning routine. I picked out a black t shirt and gray sweats. I put on an Obey sweatshirt and put my hair up into a high ponytail. I hurried and grabbed my converse and headed downstairs for breakfast. I was earlier than normal, so I decided to make chocolate chip pancakes to lighten up my mood. I made the batter and was cooking them on the stove. I suddenly hear someone sniffing the air and saying, "Mmmmmm pancakes!" I turned my head sharply and have hem a death glare. I see Rosalyn widen her eyes in fear and say with her hands up in surrender, "Woah woah woah!! Is someone on their time of their month? You aren't usually this cranky! I'm hungry! I just enjoyed the smell! Vadison, you have no chill whatsoever." I rolled my eyes and said, "I'm having cramps so I am on my time. You can have some pancakes because I'm a nice sister, so go and get your stuff. She hurried and grabs plates, silverware, juice, and cups for both of us. She sat down and went on her phone.

Breakfast was ready so I put 3 pancakes each on our plates. We ate in silence, and suddenly, Isabella comes and says, "Hey! Where's my pancakes!!" Rosalyn and I hurry up and rush out of the door laughing and snickering. I wave to Rosalyn and I head off to school. I hold my stomach in pain and think, "I shouldn't have ran after I ate my pancakes." I arrive to school and trudge to my locker. I see Taylor and wave halfheartedly. She comes over and asks, "Are you ok V? You seem different and down. Is it about Josh?" I shake my head no and say, "It's not about Josh. I am on my time of month and I have cramps. I moved on and don't mourn over Josh anymore." She pats my shoulder in sympathy and understanding and says back, "I'm glad you moved on from that jerk. I can't believe he hangs out with us! Do you want to take some Tylenol? I have some in my makeup bag!" She digs in her backpack and I refuse politely. I wave and say, "Well, I need to get going. I need to go to my locker. See you at break!" She waved back and walks off.

The bell rings for break and I hurry out so I am first to my locker. I bump into a hard wall. I look closely and think, "This isn't a wall, it is blue!" I look up hesitantly and see the person I don't want to see looking down at me with a smirk. Josh says, "Woah! Easy there tiger! Look where you are going!" I ignore his comment and brush past him. I see his face fall and comes after me saying, "Hey! I was just kidding! Wait up!" I still ignore him and keep walking briskly down the halls. I don't hear his footsteps any longer and I sigh with relief when I realize he is gone.

I bang my head on my locker and say to myself, "Can this day get any worse? First my period and now Josh?" As I say that, I hear someone say, "Heads up! Look out!!" I look up, but I am too late. I can see a football flying towards me at about 100 miles per hour. I get hit on the head, and I am going down. My head knocks on the ground and I immediately drift out of consciousness.

I wake up, and I see faces looking at me in concern. I sit up and pain suddenly shoots through my head. I see my friends' shoulders sag in relief. My girlfriends come and hug me and say, "Are you ok Vadison?" The guys nod their heads and say, "Yeah V, are you ok?" I smile weakly mad say, "Yeah I'm good, i just have a headache." I look at all of my friends in appreciation and then my smile fell. I see Josh coming through the the door in the nurses office. Everyone's faces go into a scowl and they say with disgust, "What are you doing here Josh? Go back to class." (A/N I know you guys are probably confused on why everyone hates Josh, but it is because when Vadison came back telling everyone about the incident, they got mad at him and called him a traitor. Ever since, they hate him with a burning passion).

Josh awkwardly waves and says, "Hey guys! I heard about Vadison and I just wanted to see how she is doing." Bry says with venom laced in his voice, "She's doing fine as you can see, so you can get your sorry a** out of this room." We all nod in approval and he leaves the room. I tell everyone with appreciation, "Thanks for sticking up for me. I love you guys, and thanks for sticking with me through thick and thin." Jay coos at me, "AWWW Vadison is so mushy! You are Sooo sweet!" I roll my eyes at him in annoyance and say sarcastically, "Hey, that is probably the only time I'm going to say that, so treasure my words of "sweetness"." Nico mocks fake hurt and says, "Wow girl you are so feisty! You scare me sometimes." Then, we all burst out laughing. The nurse sees us laughing and shoots us a look of disapproval. We see her and freeze for a millisecond, but we immediately laugh again. I had a day of bad luck, but whatever the case is, everyone is here to help me.
