The beginning is a bit slow so take your time :)

A little girl was running through the hallway. She looked like she was being in a rush. Her long coat fluttered behind her as she ran. She almost tripped but somehow she managed to avoid it well. That's a little bit unusual.
She walked into her class just when her homeroom teacher called her name.
"Ignacia, Seraphine."
"I'm here!" She shouted, as she opened the classroom's door.
The man – who was standing in front of her now – can be sweet as candy when he was teaching, but Sera could tell in a glance that Ciro-sensei was really angry to her right now.
"You are late again. Don't tell me you tripped again like the last time." Ciro-sensei said.
"No, but I almost did."
Ciro-sensei sighed while the entire classroom laughed. Sometimes it could be hard for him to face a careless girl like Sera.
"Why are you late?" He asked. "There's a final exam today and you are late! Tell me one good reason why I shouldn't send you home right now."
"I overslept. I studied until midnight for this exam. So please don't send me home, Sensei!"
Sera let out a breath of relief when Ciro-sensei let her sit. The exam started soon after he finished checking the attendance list. Sera never failed to be amazed to her teacher's magic. He always stood still in front of the class and used his magic to hand out the exam papers instead of walking around the class.
She couldn't wait to have magic just like Ciro-sensei, but she hasn't been through awakening yet. So she had to be satisfied just by looking at other people do magic.
"Okay. You may start now." Ciro-sensei said.

"Aidan-senpai!"
Heard someone calling him, Aidan turned around and saw a beautiful girl was running towards him.
"Sera? Why are you still here? It's already night time."
"I had just finished practicing for my dance performance next week."
"Didn't your mom forbid you to take dance lessons?"
Sera shook her head. "No. as long as my grades are good, I can still take dance lessons."
Aidan sighed, no longer willing to argue with Sera. "Where's your carriage? Do you plan to go home by foot?"
Sera shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know. It's supposed to be here."
Aidan sighed again. "Why are you always so careless, Sera? Come with me. I'll take you home."
Sera smiled. "Thank you, senpai. I'm sorry for bothering you."
"No need to thank me. After all, we live in the same neighborhood."
With Aidan's help, Sera hopped into the carriage.
"We will go to the Ignacia's house first before we go home." Aidan said to his coachman.
"Yes, young Master."
"Aidan-senpai, why do you carry two swords?" Her eyes fell on to the things that was leaning near Aidan's foot.
"I'm a metal conjurer. This is what I've made today for my exam."
"Whoa, you are so cool, senpai!"
Aidan laughed. "How about you? You are still in the preparation class, right?"
She nodded. "The final exam is too hard for a ten-year-old kid like me. I mean I haven't even awakened yet, how could I know magic without even feeling it?" Sera grumbled.
"Even though it is hard, you could still answer it if you studied hard."
"No, you don't understand. You have awakened and you are smart..."
Aidan interrupted Sera. "And you are smart too."
The carriage suddenly stopped. "We have arrived at Lord Ignacia's house, young Master."
"Cheer up, Sera. Now go home. It is not good for a pretty girl like you to wander around at night."
Sera gave her brightest smile to Aidan. "Thank you for taking me home."
Aidan nodded. He was just about to order his coachman to run the carriage when Sera shouted his name.
"Aidan-senpai, promise me that you will come to my awakening day two days from now."
"I promise."
Sera watched the carriage going away without noticing that her mom was already standing behind her with an unpredictable expression on her face.
