I hear screams and cries from upstairs. whoever is screaming and crying says "let me go. I want my mommy and daddy!"
then thud, thud, thud a girl comes rolling down the stairs. me and Bailey look at the girl and she seems younger than us. she has striking blue eyes, brown hair and she's wearing a blue bow, blue shirt and blue jean shorts. she says "when can I go home to mommy and daddy?" tears slip out of her eyes. I don't know how to respond so I say "um. how old are you and what's your name."
"I'm 7 and my name is Abigal."
I gasp and hug her.
"you'll be okay, I promise."
she sniffles and holds me tight. I hope I can keep that promise.
That night me, Bailey, and Abigal manage to get up stairs. we fidget with the front lock trying to get it open. he see's us and grabs all three of us. he throws us in the basement and ties us up. he says that he will be back. he comes back with a whip and a knife. he hits Abigal and Bailey with the whip over 20 times. then he goes to me and says "I'm gonna do much worse to you." he slashes my face, arms and legs and unties us all and throws us back down the stairs. Bailey grabs me and Abigal to break our fall. She quickly grabs a blanket and wraps it around me and Abigal. Then she finds a small towel wets it and starts wiping my cuts. after we are both taken care of we hug Bailey. I write a quick Journal entry.
Dear Journal,
Today we tried to escape. There's 3 girls here now. Me, Bailey (Belle) and Abigal. He caught us and whipped Bailey and Abigal. He slashed me with a knife though. I'm lucky to have lived :(

I close the journal and sigh. I head to bed hoping for a slightly better day tomorrow.
