Wolf"s POV

It had been three days since the girl had passed out and I took her home. At first, I felt worried about her being her around Sophia. What if this whole time, she was just acting like she was unconscious and then when my guard was down, she would attack me and kill Sophia? But after the second day passed, I knew she wasn't faking it. That didnt mean, I was comfortable with her being here. I wasnt taking any chances with her, with Sophia here. I would protect her no matter.

"Caleb" a sweet voice broke me from my thoughts.

I turned around to see my little sister, Sophia standing there in her pajamas, clutching her stuffed wolf to her chest. Her long, brown curls were sprawled all over her head, while she rubbed her big, brown eyes tiredly. I know everyone likes to think that their younger siblings are cute or adorable, but they had nothing against my little Sophie. She was the most beautiful little girl I had ever seen, with her brown curls and doe like eyes. I often called her my Bambi. She was the most precious thing in the world to me, and I would do anything to make her happy, no matter what the cost. She was just too good and innocent to be exposed to the dangers of this world, which is why I kept my secret from her. I didnt want my Bambi to be scared of me or worst, hate me because I turned into a wolf. If ever she found out, Im sure my world would end.

It was already a curse, being stuck with this ability to transform into a giant wolf whenever I wanted to , or my temper got out of control. That's also something I'm deathly afraid of. I would kill myself before I hurt Sophia, but with my temper I'm always afraid one day she'll be standing too close and I'll lost control and hurt her.  I couldnt lose her. She was all I had left.

"Soph, what are you doing out of bed? You know you have school tomorrow?" I asked her, as I scooped her up in my arms and carried her back to her room.

We lived an a small 2 bedroom apartment just on the edge of town. It wasnt luxrious, but it would do. I was only 18 years old, carrying for my five year old sister. I worked all the time, trying to balance two jobs and raising Sophia all on my own. It wasnt an easy task, but I wouldnt change it for the world.

"I had a bad dweam Callie" She said, using her nickname for me. If anyone else called me that, I would break their jaw, but it was Sophia, so I let her use the name.

"Aww, what was your dream about FiFi?"  I asked as I placed her in her bed and pulled the covers around to tuck her in.

"There was a giant silver wolf.." She started and my heart immediately dropped.

She couldnt know, could she? I made sure to always shift when she wasnt around. She was always at school or our next door neighbor's place when I went out for a run. How could she know?

"Callie.." she called my name, while looking at me with her big brown eyes that held worry and confusion.

"I'm sorry, I was just thinking a little. So what about the wolf" I asked nervously. What if in her dream, the wolf ate her or killed her. Would she ever accept me for being a wolf then?

"Well, I was in a forest playing wif some flowers, when a big silver wolf came out. I was scwared he was going to eat me, but then he came up and he licked my face. He let me pet his fur and he even let me ride on his back. He played with me and I made a crown for him out of flowers, like you showed me and then he let me lay on him because I got tired. But when I woke up.."

I tensed up. I was ready for the bad part. The wolf turned on her or he attacked her.

"A lot of people came out the twees, but they were bad people, because they had black eyes and looked mean. and there was a  woman. She had scary red eyes and pointy teeth" her voice shook as she continued on in her dream. i could see the fear in her eyes as she talked.

"She was scary and covered in bwood and she was trying to eat me. She had wed hair and she told me that she was going to eat me, just like she ate mommy!" She was in tears now, shaking and clutching the wolf tight to her body.

I was shocked. How did she know? How did she know about vampires and more specifically, how did she know about that vampire. The vampire who I vowed to kill, if it was the last thing I did. But now, I didnt have time to ponder this, I had to comfort Sophia and at the same time, calm myself. Just thinking about that filthy leech attacking my baby sister, had me wanting to shift so badly.

I grabbed Sophia and gave her a big hug, breathing in her scent to calm me down. She was the only thing to ever calm me down from shifting.

"I was so scared Callie" She spoke, her voice trembling with tears.

"Dont worry, Soph. I wont let any of those bad monsters get to you okay. And you know who else will protect you?" I asked her

"Who?" She asked, her innocent brown eyes staring right into mine, piercing my soul. She looked so vulnerable and I knew I would sacrifice my life to protect her.

"You know the silver wolf in your dream. He'll protect you too. All you have to do is think of him and he'll come and save you." I stated.

"Weally?" She asked, her eyes lighting up in hope.

"Yup, anytime you need him. He'll show up. He'll protect you." I said.

"Always?" She asked.

"Always." I spoke with conviction, so that she would know it was true. I would always protect her.

"I love you Callie" She whispered in my ear, as she gave me a giant hug.

"I love you too Soph. Not its time for you to go back to sleep. Dont forget your  wolf, he'll protect you like your dream wolf will." I said as I handed him to her.

"Sam" She said and I froze.

"What?" I asked, not believing my ears for a second.

"My wolf is named Sam" She said in her small cute voice.

"Oh...well then. Good night Sophia" I turned to leave when she called out.

"You didnt tell Sam good night" she cried, her lips forming into a pout.

I hesitated and swallowed. It had been so long, since I heard that name. Since I had even thought out him.

"Good night....Sam" I stuttered out and left the room quickly.

I had to breathe in deeply. That name. I had cursed that name so long ago. When he decided to leave us behind, to abandon us when we needed him most. How could he?

"Damn you Sam!" I screamed in my mind.

I could feel my body, shaking with rage, wanting to shift and release this tension.

I peeked back into Sophia's room and saw she was deep into sleep. I could leave for 10 minutes, just to be safe.

I headed past her room and headed to the door, passing by my room, when I heard the softest of sounds.

"Aww...My head" A soft but alluring voice said.

The girl. That's right. She's been out for the past couple of days, I forgot about her. I could still feel my body tense, as I stood outside my door, trying to decide what to do? Do i go in now and talk to her and get some answers, or do I go out and shift?

"Where am I? She asked out loud again.

I sighed and stepped back to infront of my door. It was probably the best if I stayed here, now that she was awake. Though she may be a half-vampire, half-human, doesnt mean I trust her. She could still hurt Sophia. Taking a deep breath, I tried to still my shaking hand as I grasped the doorknob and turned.

It was time for Sleeping Beauty to meet the Beast.
