"An angry woman is vindictive beyond measure, and hesitates at nothing in her bitterness" -- Jean-Antoine Petit-Senn
Victoria's POV
I quickly ran down the street, ducking into the alley right beside the apartment building where she was staying.
Did she really think that she could escape me?
I chuckled deeply, imagining her face as she read the message I wrote her in blood. I could just see her now, quivering in fear, her eyes wide in shock and terror, her body shaking uncontrollably as she tries to comfort herself into believing that she was safe from me, that she would be okay, but in her mind, a small voice telling her the truth: she was never safe.
I continued running through the city, staying in the dark alleys to be avoid being seen, when suddenly I smelt a group of vampires near. I jumped back quickly and got into my crouch just as several vampires emerged from the shadows. They were seven in total, three behind me and three encaging me in the front, while one hid in the shadows.
I could feel my gift working, trying to maneuver the safest way possible for me to escape. I growled loudly at the vampires surrounding me, warning them if they came any closer, but in reality I was just trying to buy time.
My gift was working hard, but there were too many possibilities for things to occur. I could always attack the one closet, use its body as a shield and run from the alley, ducking into the nearest store, but then they would follow and just wait me out. I could try to attack them all, but I was outnumbered and there was the possibilities of some of them having gifts. My situation was looking more and more grim by the second and with each idea of escaping falling apart, I growled harder and longer, knowing that this may be my last encounter and that made me even more angry.
I wasn't finished with this world yet, I had so much left to do for my revenge. Attacking the human girl was just a small part of the elaborate scheme I had envisioned to get revenge of the Cullens for taking my mate. I hadn't expected her to survive or be turned into a hybrid, but even with her change, I still planned to use her in my plot. She was a key for my goals and I had vowed to myself that I wouldn't leave this earth without hearing the screams of anguish of the mind-reader as he watched his dear beloved pet die before his very eyes. His screams would be the greatest noise, my ears would ever be graced with.. And so for the sole purpose in life, I stood my ground ready to take on the vampires around me.
They all growled around me and positioned their bodies to lunge at me, when suddenly one of the vampires in the shadows stopped them.
"Wait" She called.
It was obvious she was the leader of them, as she when she approached they stepped aside and made a path for her. I remained in my crouch ready to take out the leader, when I finally saw her face emerged from the shadows.
"Clarissa?" I asked, slowly removing myself from my attack position.
"Victoria" She answered, as she gave me a dazzling but cruel smile.
I couldn't believe my eyes. It had been decades since I last seen her, yet there she stood looking the same as last time. She was here, my sister, my sire. She was just as I remembered her to be. She had Blond, curly shoulder-length hair that fell against her face like a blanket of gold. A small heart shaped face, with a button nose and cute pouty mouth that would make even the most black-hearted man give in to her desires. Before she was turned she had the biggest and brightest blue eyes, that I had ever seen and even though her eyes were red now, that still didn't stop the effect she had on people. She could make you do anything with those eyes and I do mean anything.
