"That stupid selfish despicable girl! What does she think she's going to achieve running away like this?" Her aunt seethes angrily
"Calm down! No need to use that type of language," I raise my palm up to silence her
No one needed to talk about her like that
"Jeremy, tell me exactly what she said?" I ask desperately turning to her brother who looks as passive and unbothered now as he did 12 hours ago
He shrugs his shoulders
"Mate, I told you what she told me. My story's not going to change," he answers with a slight hitch in his voice
I pinch the bridge of my noise in frustration
"Hey, don't get angry at me! She ran away because of you," he accuses maliciously before sauntering out of the room
Chelsea is crying in the corner of the room
The aunt is cursing the air
Jeremy doesn't seem to care
"You lot just stay here. I'll go find her myself," I say coldly and defiantly
Before they protest I'm out of the room and in my car speeding down the road
There's a red light and I stop
A lump in my throat forms and tears begin cascading down my face
