She comes to my house early in the morning
While the decorators are setting up the house for the baby shower
I go through some maths and english with her until she's exhausted of the numbers and words
"Go get some sleep before everyone arrives," I tell her kissing her gently on the back of her palm
She nods her head and puffs her way to a stand before waddling out of the study
Three hours later, I rouse her awake and tell her my sisters are here to help her get ready
I go downstairs to inspect the lounge and back garden and everything looks beautiful and enchanting
It's unusually warm for this time of the month but I smile
It's a small family affair

She enters the room in an aura of beauty and elegance
She looks young
Not young enough to pass for 14
Old enough to pass for 18
When she enters she heads straight for me and carefully entangles both our hands
"I love you," she mouths
