Treegan- loving my best friend

Chapter 28:

I slowly open my eyes and see that it's 8:30 pm. I look over to see Keegan lid down next to me cooing at Ashton. "Hi." I say groggily. "They missed hearing your voice." He smiles handing me back Ashton. "You hold her, they need to know their dad." I smile. "So where is everyone?" I ask, sort of liking all the attention they gave me over the past 9 months.

"I told them they can go home, they've been here all day." He smiles kissing my cheek. "When can I put some better clothes on?" I ask him. "In a few days." He replies. "A lot is happening now with our life. Pretty little liars is still filming, we have twins to take care of, and there is now no good time to ask you this." He says handing me the twins. "Is everything okay?" I ask sitting up.

"Amazing. I just, I love you Troian, a lot. So damn much. I always think of you, you never leave my mind. You're my first priority, along with these two. You never fail to make me laugh, smile, or brighten my day. I just had a question... This is because I love you, and I want these two to have a real dad, and for you to possibly have a husband who loves you." He says nervously.

He puts his hands in his pocket and pulls out a black box. He comes to my side, and gets down on one knee. That's when Sasha walks in. "Keegan?" She asks in shock. Keegan completely ignores her presence. "Troian Avery Bellisario, will you marry me?" He asks with a big smile. I nod my head and tears continue to fall. "I love you too." I whisper hugging him.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know this was happening, I wouldn't of came in if I knew. I hope I didn't ruin it." She apologizes looking at my finger where the ring is. "Nothing could ruin this moment." I say smiling over to Keegan who has a smile on his face, staring at me. "You're so beautiful." He mouths to me, making me blush.

"I'm heading to sleep, Sash. Tell everyone to come tomorrow at 11:00 am, and I'll share the news." I exclaim as she walks out. Keegan takes the two sleeping twins and lays them in the crib next to the bed. He hops onto the bed and wraps his arms around me. "This is happening." He smiles holding my hands. "I can't believe it." I say staring at him.

"Even when in a hospital gown, running low on sleep, not dressed up, you are still the most gorgeous woman I've ever seen." He compliments me. I blush avoiding eye contact with him. "I'm the luckiest girl in the world." I tell him with a smile. He pulls his shirt off and climbs underneath the few hospital sheets. "Only a few days and we'll be back in our house." He smiles kissing my head. I nod and cuddle into him a little. "Goodnight beautiful." He whispers.

The next morning

I'm woken to the sound of babies laughing around 7:00 am. I see Keegan cuddling with Addison while Ashton sleeps. I sit up and Keegan notices me. "Did I wake you?" He asks coming over. "Uh, no. I heard the baby. Why are you up so early?" I ask rubbing my eyes and yawning. "She was fussing a little while ago so I decided to stay up with her." He smiles rubbing Addison's head with his thumb.

"You couldn't put on a shirt or fix your hair at least?" I laugh teasingly with a smile. He laughs and continues to cradle her. "She fell asleep." He whispers laying her next to her sister. "Want to go back to sleep?" He asks moving a piece of hair out of my face. "I'm good." I say yawning and trying to get comfortable. "Honestly, I can't wait to get home." I giggle turning on my side.

"Easier to sleep together, and the bed is more comfortable." I tell him as he climbs in next to me. "It's only a few days, hang in there baby." He says which makes me laugh. I didn't realize it, but I fell asleep once again.

I wake up about 12:00 pm to see all our friends in the room, Keegan was sat on the chair, still shirtless, and cradling Ashton while Ian was holding Addison. "Hey, how are you?" They ask hugging me. "Uh, alright. We have some news." I say motioning Keegan back to my side. "What is it?!" Ashley asks. "Keegan proposed!" I squeal showing them my finger. "Oh my god!!" They yell holding my hand.

- a few hours later -

All of our friends finally had to leave, and the doctor came in as they walked out. "I'm afraid I have some news... There is good news, and there is bad news." The doctor says closing the door. I sit up worried and Keegan sits by my side. "W-what's going on?" Keegan asks worried. "Um, we found out something. One of your babies has an illness, and if we don't fix it, it'll be too late. So we need to keep her in for tests and surgery immediately." He says taking my hand and my heart drops.

Tears fall down my cheeks, and I bury my head into Keegan's chest. "This isn't happening." I sniffle holding onto him. "The good news is, that it is only one baby, and you can go home anytime you want to now." The doctor let's me know. "So I have to leave her here?" I ask looking over at my two happy babies. "Yes, I'm sorry." He says sadly. "We'll take Ashton now, and you 3 can head home." He says as I hand him my baby. "I love you Ash, you can pull through whatever this is." I whisper kissing her head.

"I'm scared." I whisper as the doctor leaves. "Me too babe." He tells me. Keegan packs up all of our stuff, and helps me into some sensible clothes. He helps me off of the bed, and removes my hospital gown. He helps me hook my bra, but on some panties, jogging pants, and his shirt. He threw on a shirt, and the 3 of us left.

This was going to be a stressful few days, waiting for a call from the doctor about Ash...

I made it sad I'm sorry🙃 but of course everything will be okay :))
