When we arrived at the hospital the doctors told us they didn't know what happened, but she seemed real serious. While in the waiting room we told everything to Thalia and the rest of the boys who had come to visit.

Zayn clenched his fists. "So, you never planned on telling us?"

Niall spoke softly. "We didn't want it getting in the way of the band,"

"So you lied," Liam spoke just as soft, but his eyes were on fire.

Harry glared. "Don't even sit there for one minute saying you wouldn't do what we did. We're from a different world,"

"Then why are we a band?" Louis whispers.

"Don't think that!" Niall snaps. "This is why we didn't want you to know!"

"Guys, shut up," Thalia cuts in. "We're here for Kristan now, okay?"

The boys shut up and nod reluctantly. I say nothing bringing my knees up to my chest. How much damage did Dolor do to Kristan while he was possessing her? That bastard..I'm going to kill him. I clenched my fists, but I didn't allow tears to fall. I had to be strong, especially for Thalia.

"You can go see her," The nurse smiled lightly.

When we got into her room she looked a little bit better. She was still pale, and she looked completely helpless and fragile. But I could tell she was still Kristan. Rushing in I grab her hand, but she doesn't even stir as I do so.

"I can't believe this is happening," Liam murmurs plopping down on one of the chairs.

Thalia grabbed my hand and sighed. "She doesn't deserve this..."

        "I know," I swallow hard; if I wasn't careful I knew I might cry.

I just laid my head on her hospital bed and drifted.

I wasn't in the hospital anymore. For some reason I was at my mother's house. I looked around to see my mother's scared face. A shadow was in the corner she was looking at. I knew it was Dolor.

Awakened and shaken at the same time I heard the familiar beeps of the heart monitor Kristan was hooked up to. Everyone was basically asleep. Except Harry. He was sitting in a chair gazing out the window. I hurried over to him and grabbed his hand.

He looked a bit shocked. "Love, what's the matter it's five in the morning,"

"It's my mom," I couldn't swallow down my terror. "I think he's after my mother, Harry,"

Harry cursed scribbling a note down and setting it on the side table. "I'm guessing we gotta rush to America now,"

        "Yes,"

"Alright, come on," He says grabbing my hand and quickly driving to the airport.

                                                        ****

When we arrived at my mother's house I hurried inside. "Mom!"

"Gracie, leave, please," Her pleading tone came from the kitchen. A dark shadow was visible in the corner like in my dreams. I grabbed my mother by her shoulders and glared at it. Harry stood in front of us protectively.

        "H-Harry...what?" My mother croaked out.

"Sh, he'll protect us," I whisper to her.

"How!? That thing isn't even human!" She shrieks.

        "Well, neither is Harry,"

She gave me a look, but she didn't say anything else.

"You're so weak you can't even take solid form," Harry smirks. "I'll take care of you easy," Then he turns to me. "Get her out,"

        "Come back, okay?"

He gave me a crooked smile with one of his dimples popping out. "Always,"

I took my mother's hand and we ran outside and locked ourselves into the car.

"What's going on?" She cries in hysteria once we were safe.

I swallow hard. "Did you know dad as well as you thought you did?"

        "What?"

"Did you know what he would do in that basement?"

She was quiet for a moment before speaking. "So, you know.."

        "Yes, mom, I know,"

She pushed her bangs out of her face. "I never wanted to tell you. How could I let my daughter grow up knowing the truth about her father?"

I nod slowly. "I can understand why, mom. I'm not angry at you at all."

She shakes her head. "After all these years he's still affecting our lives. His past mistakes are going to wind up killing us,"

I smile softly at her. "Nothing is gonna happen to us, okay? Maybe you should move to England with me. Harry will protect us there,"

She frowns. "Oh yes, how is he going to protect us?"

I tell her the story about how he was set to protect me.

She covers her mouth. "This is almost...romantic,"

"Mom," I groan pinching the bridge of my nose. Leave it to her to forget we're in impending doom over gooey romance.

After a few moments Harry hopped into the passenger seat. "We'll be okay,"

        "Did you kill him?"

"No, but I sent him back to hell,"

"So what about..." I drift off glancing at my abdomen.

"I don't think it'll ever go away, but he still won't be able to get you, alright?"

I nod slowly. I knew everything was going to be alright after looking into his dark green eyes.

He turned to my mother. "Nice to meet you Ms. Mathews,"

She smiles back. "Thank you...for protecting my daughter Mr. Styles,"

        "Always," He repeats.

And I almost thought everything was going to be okay. Almost...
