White Heather - Protection
Morisuke and I walked over to the group, and I was attacked by the third years, more so Daichi and Suga. Asahi stood behind them, looking slightly upset. "H-hey guys, what's up?" I asked nervously. I didn't even do anything wrong, why do they seem so upset? Suga grabbed my arm, and dragged me off. Again??
"That was Nekoma's third year libero, Yaku Morisuke. Whats going on?" he asked scornfully.
"Suga-san, I am- was a Nekoma student. Of course I would know Mori-"
"Sorry, Kozume-san," Daichi butted in,"but it seems like its much more than being teammates." I sighed, unsure if I wanted to tell them or not.
"Listen, you can't tell anyone else this. Me and Morisuke-kun were, what would you call it? Dating. After I came back to Nekoma last year, we hung out more, stuff like that. We were together, until a week before I left again. I ignored him, cut off all connections with the boy. I regret it, but its all in the past. We can't fix that tear in our relationship, so we are staying friends. I do this with sadness though, as we still......admire each other," I explained. Asahi looked at the ground, furrowing his eyebrows, as the others looked at me in confusion.
"Don't worry, I'm okay!" I told them, trying to help.
"No, its just weird to know that you, of all people, fell in love...." Daichi said in amazement. Suga punched his shoulder, smiled at me, and walked away. Asahi stayed behind, but soon tried stepping away.
"Asahi-san, are you okay?" I asked, making him stop. He turned back to me, the cold expression leaving his face.
"Gomen, its just that....I thought that you haven't dated or loved anyone yet," little does she know, I wished I had been her first love. I looked at him, perplexed by his sudden outburst of emotions.
"Ah, I see. We weren't dating. We, per se, were loving, but are both too timid to express such feelings. I guess you could call it dating, but it was something completely unique," I tried, not knowing exactly what words to use that would make him understand. He nodded, more relaxed than before. We walked back to them group, who seemed confused by my sudden leaving and entering.
We were handed our jerseys, and immediately put into a game against Shinzen High. I was put off to the side, which I didn't mind. We tried to win, but were shut down instantly. We walked outside, endured our penalty, and got into another game. This vicious cycle went on for what seems like forever, until we heard the gyms doors open, and a few loud voices.
We turned to the noise, and there stood Saeko, Hinata, and Kageyama. We greeted them, desperate for their help. Without them, the team seems to be suffering. We were still good, but having the two first years back could help a lot.
It turns out I was wrong, and we lost just as much. Its true that we earned more points than before they arrived, but we couldn't seem to win. As they were taking a break, I found Ukai and Nekomata talking. This is exactly what I needed. I walked up to them, preparing myself for their disapproval.
"Coach Ukai, Nekomata-sensei! I would like to ask permission to play for Nekoma, just one game. I'm not being put into the games anyways, and it would only be once," I asked. They turned to each other, then back at me.
"I'd like that. You are an element that this team had been missing for quite some time now," my old coach said with a smirk.
"I agree as well, though I have no good reason for it," Ukai explained. I let out a low chuckle, and they pointed to Nekoma. I ran over, grabbed a #13 jersey, and greeted them.
"I got permission to play with Nekoma, but only for one game!" I explained. They cheered, even small Shibayama. I grinned, and we were put in a match. We had Inuoka, Yaku, Kenma, Kuroo, Yamamoto, and, of course, me. I was quite excited, until I saw who we were up against.
