Stock - Bounds of Affection
Practice, a time to relax, hang out with friends....
Oh wait.
I'm on bad terms with Tsukishima, I'm stressed all the time, and the practice I do barely gets put into games. I was walking with Yachi, and she jumped suddenly. I snapped out of my trance, and saw a figure in a hoodie and hat. Is that...Kageyama? She pointed him out, surprising him. I snickered at his attire.
He seemed upset that his odd disguise failed, and he told us that we was going to visit a school we might face. I listened to their conversation half-earnestly. Kageyama then left, so I went back into the gym. I thought about what I should do, and I came up with a personal goal.
Make up with Tsukishima!
At this point, I don't care much for him, but I can't keep this up forever. I refuse to let this team fail because I am holding a grudge. But that will take some work if I want him to stop being mad. Man, that guy can stay angry for forever..
I joined Hinata when I saw him approaching said middle-blocker. He was sitting against a wall, not contributing to practice at all. I dismissed the thought, and listened to what Hinata had to say. "Hey, can you stop Ushiwaka, Tsukishima?" He asked. Its pretty bold to be asking such a grumpy first-year such a question, but I let him continue.
"Of course not. Even if it was pure luck, he's the ace of a team in the National Top Three." Hmm, no confidence. Such attitude will get you nowhere...
"Well, if someone doesn't stop Ushiwaka, we won't be able to be Shiratorizawa," Hinata responded. "We're middle blockers."
"You're already thinking about taking top in the prefecture?" I scowled, upset at his response. Can he stop bringing Hinata down? "You're sure taking this lightly."
"Anyways, we have to beat everyone, so its the same thing," Hinata shot back, a scary expression on his face.
"You piss me off."
"Why?! If you can't do it, I'm gonna do it!" he yelled back. I grinned at him, until Tsukishima noticed me. I stopped smiling.
"Thinking you can't do it yourself is one thing, but having someone else tell you that you can't is irritating," Tsukishima cold answered. "Especially when it comes from you." He pressed onto Hinata's head, who rolled around whining.
And just like that, the blond left. I chased him outside, and I saw him talking to someone on the phone. I waited for him to finish, following him with determination. He put down the phone, and I stopped him with my foot. He fell to the ground, looking up at me angrily.
"What was that for you dumbass?!"
"Calm down! I need to talk to you!"
"I'm angry at you, remember?" he growled, attempting to escape. I pulled on his jacket, making him stop.
"Why are you angry?"
"It because, well...because I can!"
"That isn't an answer!" I yelled, close to giving up.
"I don't have time for this, I'm leaving," he announced, and left. I was too shocked to follow. Maybe theres no hope us making up. He's too goddamn stubborn for me to even try. I willed myself to return to the gym.
Later that evening, Kageyama returned. It was already dark, and we were starting to get worried. Apparently, Seijou was having a practice match with a college team. During a break, Oikawa joined said team as their setter. And then something else about bringing out other players...or whatever.
