We sat at the table in silence.
"Oh my god. " Max started.
"I know. "
"You can-"
"I know. "
"She was-"
"I know. "
We sat in silence again.
"I'm gonna go home and rest. I need to let this all sink in. " I said
I started to swim home, alone with my thoughts. My power was very dangerous. Using too much could burn me up. I could take the life from things, killing them. I could give life, saving things. I could heal anything, maybe even old age. I could release energy like fire, lightning, that beam of light, from my hands.
"I can't do this. I'll end up hurting someone. I won't use my power ever," I vowed.
I was knocked around as something swam past me very quickly. Then it turned around and came back towards me.
" CALY!! I haven't seen you in forever! How have you been?"
"Great Jack," I smiled tiredly.
" You sure?" He asked cautiously.
"Yup"
"You wanna come hang with me Finn and Sam?"
"No I'm really tired. You boys have fun though."
"If you're sure.... Take care Caly. You look like shit . "
"Thanks Jack," I replied sarcastically. "Your kindness astounds me."
He shot me a smirk and bolted away. I silently swam the rest of the way home, ready to pass out on my bed. I just looked at the scenes around me, not even thinking since I felt so drained. Once I got home, I just got ready for bed and went to sleep, exhausted.
