Sirens

Captain Jones

"I'm sooooooo bored oh my god. " Max groaned.

I shook my head, " Only you would be bored when you got kidnapped."

"It's been like three hours. That is ages. "
I laughed. The door swung open and the men came back in. We were dragged out with bags over our heads.

"Where are you guys taking us? And what's with the bags? It's not like we are gonna go anywhere you guys don't want us to. " Max sassed.

"Shut up fish. " a gruff man said. "Orders are orders. "

We all swam in silence for some time. The sea pressure was lessening and the water was getting warmer so I knew we were going up. Eventually my head broke out of the water and I was breathing pure air from the world above.

"Why are we out of the sea?" I asked nervously.

The men laughed evilly, chilling my bones. "Oh you shrimp. You've got yourself some real trouble now. "

Then I felt a shadow cast over me making me feel cold. Then a hand slipped into mine.

"We are in this together," Max whispered.

I squeezed her hand in reply. Then suddenly I was blinded by the sun. I've been above water enough that my eyes would adjust to the light after some time. Standing before us was a beautiful majestic ship with black sails. If I wasn't probably gonna die from the humans on the ship I would have been in awe.

Then suddenly I felt angry. What kind of mermen hand over their own people to HUMANS. The filthiest nastiest creatures on earth. But sadly the anger did nothing. My palms were still tied together. So I just ended up burning my palms. However, the water around my hands boiled. But I didn't want to burn my skin off so I stopped.

A small boat was lowered down and we were shoved in. The boat was quickly pulled up and the humans in the boat quickly pulled us out and threw us to the deck. It was a bit like my dream. Max and I were still wet so we still had our tails.

"We've got ourselves some fish men!" I heard someone bellow.

The crew cheered. And that's when it finally hit me how screwed we were. So like always. I blacked out.
