"HOOONNNNNKKKKK!!" My shell clock woke me up at 5am. So I picked it up and threw it across my room.
"Stop throwing your clock around again!" My mom shouted from downstairs.
"But it hates me!"
"It's just doing its job. Like you should be by getting ready for school."
"Uggg" I mumbled.
I put on the outfit I picked out the night before, put my hair in a Dutch braid, and brushed my teeth with seaweed flavored toothpaste. Yum. After a quick breakfast I swam quickly to meet up with my friends. They all looked like zombfish, like all high schoolers every morning. We are in 10th year, so we only have 2 more years of high school. After that I'm going to Siren School. I know, I know. Why go to SS if I'm already a siren? But the best sirens went there and learning there triples a siren's power so why not!
When we reached school, many merpeople were already there, swimming around lazily.
"C'mon guys, let's get to class," Max said in a dull tone.
The guys groaned but we all went our separate ways. Max and I went to English, Jack went to band, Finn went to A.P Calculus, and Sam went to History of Merfolk.
"Ready for another day in this hell hole?" Max asked. She particularly hated our English teacher since she always called her Maxine. We were reading A Farewell to Arms by Fishinway. It was a very boring book. By the time it was lunch we were all starving.
"So I have something to tell you guys. " Jack said nervously.
"Wait til you find out," I smirked knowingly. "You'll be so jelly. "
"Okaaaayyyy..." Finn said looking confused.
"About a week ago, I found out that I have powers. I can swim faster then anyone else. "
"Like the Flash!" Sam exclaimed.
"Huh?" We asked.
"The Flash is a human character that can run really fast. So fast he can go back in time. "
"Well I don't think I can go back in time, but ya. Like that."
"That is so cool!! I can't wait til I get my power," Max sighed dreamily. Like me, she had been dreaming forever for her power. Except lucky for her, her entire family had powers so it was likely that she would get them too.
After lunch was over we went to the only class we had all together. Physical education. We all worked well together so whatever team we were all on, we would always win.
"Today, we will be playing dodgeball. You can pick your teams but they must have an equal amount of people." The teacher said.
The five of us eyed each other and smirked. We swam to a side of the gym and let argue about who would be on our team. After the teams were decided we started. Let the games begin. Is it bad to write during classes? Oops :P Oh well! I hope you guys like this part. I promise it'll start to pick up soon. Xoxo Ana
