A Girl's Guide to Guys and God.

Friends and Guys. How do they mix?

Now I have two very best friends "Avalon" and "Whitney". They're just AMAZING. They're supportive, funny, and Godly role models for me. I just love these girls to death. Well, anyway. I told you about "Barry" now today I'm going to also throw in "Jack". This story -- which as actually my life-- is going to be a little complicated so please try to bear with me.
First I'll tell you about Avalon. As far a guys go she loves to pick on me. So when she learned that I got a "husband" in the show she went INSANE! Let's just say that Barry's last name is Blue. Well Avalon had a grand ol' time teasing me and calling me Mrs. Blue. Giving me the oooooooo's and the the eyebrow raise thing. Well she loved to pick on me and I kinda got used to it then she found out that I was now with Jack she went nuts. She grabbed my arm and started jumping up and down then yells across the room. "Hey Jack, what makes you think you can marry my best friend?"
Now I'll tell you but Whitney. She's a bundle of energy and one of the funniest people I have ever met. The perfect example of how she acts with my crush situation is this conversation we had backstage one time watching Barry dance with another girl.

W: Just think akzimm22 that could be you.
Me: You don't have to rub it in.
W: Don't worry you can just do that dance at your wedding
Me: Its a good thing the stage light is red because my face must be a thousand shades of it.

Another good one was this:

Other friend: akzimm22 your hair is a hot mess
Me: Well why be attractive when there's no one here I'm trying to attract?
W: I can't think of one *eyebrow raise*

A good one for Avalon is this: in the show the guys don't wear shirts and Avalon was subtly joking about me being in the presence of my crush without his shirt on. All I had to say was that Barry's little brother and my little brother played baseball and football together and the team's throw pool parties. Our local fire company --in which Barry is a junior fire fighter as well as my dad-- has pool parties. So I've seen Barry without a shirt numerous times.

Now that you have that background. I'll continue my story. Like I said, Avalon is the one to tease me about my crush and the other day she looked over my shoulder at my phone wallpaper and went crazy. My picture is of me and Jack posing in one of the show numbers. No big deal. Just a little reminder of that special time doing the show. (For a little while Avalon was suspecting that I was into Jack as well but she dumped that theory when I told her I liked Barry). And I quote "Your trying to re-live your polygamistic love life!" She picked on me for being a polygamist because aside from Barry and Jack I also had two other husbands. That's not important.

All jokes aside, it is important to surround yourself with good friends who love Jesus and will encourage you to do the same. Friends that will help show you right from wrong. Friends who will be there no matter what.
BUT! It goes both ways. It's your responsibility to be loyal to the in return. Guys can reek havoc on friendships. Always remember that friends are a valuable thing. A thing that if you loos would be very hard to get back. I thank God every day for the amazing friends he's given me. I encourage you to do the same. I'm not about to let them go. Boyfriend or no boyfriend.
