You girls know how it feels to have crush? That's less of a question and more of a statement. You know how some times you just go completely INSANE now and then? Well I had a few of those moments recently and I figured I'd write 'em.
My dad has been a fire fighter for as long as I can remember. Ever since I was little I've been waiting til I was old enough to be a junior fire fighter. Well, now I am. A "happy bonus" of that is that Barry is one of the Three other juniors in our department. So yep. I'm gonna be spending a lot of time with the kid. That's awesome to me!
Also, our beloved chorus director Mrs. Q. Is retiring. We all love Mrs. Q to death. She's just amazing. Supportive, inspirational, a godly role model, and all around wonderful. We all were super upset when she told us and she cried when she said it. I am a VERY emotional person. It doesn't take a lot to make me cry. So today was Mrs Q's last concert. I was prepared in advance for some water works from myself but I was subtly curious if Barry would cry of not. So after our closing song "For Good" then we all lost it and through my tears I look over and see Barry crying as well.
I found it cute that he wasn't afraid to be emotional and he let it go. That's sweet that he didn't hold back and try to be tough.
In conclusion, seeing these things in Barry honestly felt like blessings. Starting to be a junior with him (no, I haven't started yet I still have to turn in my application) and seeing him like that just made my heart beat. Girls, don't be afraid to feel like this. It's okay. It truly is. There is nothing wrong with crushing. Nothing at all. Just don't let it get in the way of your relationship with God. It's not easy but you can do it. You can. Crush away girls. Lol.
