What A Girl Is by Dove Cameron
I usually try to avoid observing myself because instead of picking out the good things I pick out the bad. Even if these thing aren't true. I think I'm ugly, fat, have bad smile, too short, and the list goes on and on. Other times I take special care to try to pick out the good things. It's hard because as a teenage girl in a world of judgmental people it's easier to see the bad than the good.
Admit it or not, girls I know at least once in your life you've been in my position. Picking and choosing if your thin enough, pretty enough, athletic enough, smart enough, the best at this, the best at that.
I know, I know you've heard this speech a million times and its probably getting old, the reason for this is that girls seem to have thick heads when it comes to this subject. One friend I have in particular just won't believe us and we get the routine eye roll if we bring it up. She thinks she's fat so she starves herself. She's been taking a beating lately from people calling her this and that. People saying she's not good enough at this or that. On and on. As a result she just gives them a disgusted eye roll and and counts the days until they graduate. She's also taken the opinions to heart which, as teenage girl is NORMAL. We care what people think of us (maybe a little to much at times). Like a said before, girls are easy to break. We hate being told we are anything less than what we want to be. If that makes any sense at all.

Girls, the goal isn't to be the best. The goal is to be you. The goal is to be who God made you to be. When God made you, he didn't make something ugly. I fact look at it this way: If you call yourself anything but perfect, you know what you're saying to God? "Hey God, you messed up. You made a mistake on this one."
We all know for a solid fact that God doesn't make mistakes. As Michael Tate (lead singer of Newsboys) would say: "My God don't make no junk." Tell you what. My God makes perfection, nothing else. And God made you, so... Put two and two together. God makes perfection, he made you. That makes you perfect. No flaws whatsoever. Nothing. Zilch. Nada. Who cares what others think? Most of you are saying right now "I do. I care" Well, you got me there. I can't tell you how you feel about yourself, but I can say this:
God doesn't make "too fat". God doesn't make "ugly". God makes flawless. He made you. That makes you flawless.

Girls, don't go wishing you were someone else either. God didn't make Lucy Jones to be Emma Brown. God didn't make Amy Stone to be Susie Wood. That's not how it works. That's why I named this part "You Are You". That's because you can't be someone you aren't. You can only be yourself. I know it sounds like old news but really. Try it see what happens.
In conclusion, my God doesn't make any junk. My God made you to be you. The least you can do is be what you are. Beautiful, unique, and perfect. P-E-R-F-E-C-T. Perfect.
