After cramming as much as I could in my locker, I quickly headed towards homeroom. Being a senior meant that I got to enjoy the entertainment of the incoming freshman walking around like a chicken with their head cut off. And no, I didn't stop to help any of them.

I turned into my homeroom and looked around the room. It wasn't a terrible group of people. I knew many of them through Caroline.

There were few empty chairs left, and I scoped for the best one.

It quickly became apparent that there weren't many good ones to choose from.

There was a seat in the front row that would have been fine if it wasn't for the fact that Marcel, one of the biggest nerds to ever roam these halls, was sitting right next to it. I knew my place in the high school popularity pyramid, and it was not sitting next to Marcel.

My eyes landed on the only other available seat located in the back corner. I quickly bee lined my way through the desks as people said hello to me. I waved to nothing, hoping that that would be enough for them.

I crashed down into the chair, throwing my bag into the floor beside me. In doing so, the bag tipped over and a couple of my binders spilled out.

"Shit," I whispered angrily.

I quickly gathered what I could grab and set them on the top of my desk.

I realized that I was missing my math binder and when I looked on the floor it wasn't there. I started shoveling through my bag, panic setting in. From what I've heard, my math teacher was a bitch and I knew that she would ring my neck if I forgot my binder on the first day. I knew I packed it though. I clearly remember putting it my bag.

"Ahem," I heard someone clear their throat next to me.

As looked up I did a double take. I found myself face to face with the boy that Caroline almost hit with her car earlier today. The tattoos were clearer now, the most obvious one being a skull sitting on the top of his chest being perfectly displayed by the dip in his v-neck. I looked up into his eyes and found myself almost getting lost. They were so blue. I had never seen any like it before.

Quickly I pulled myself out of the trance I was falling into. He was a still a freak with facial piercings and Gothic tattoos. Just because he has nice eyes doesn't mean he's attractive. Then again he was well built. You could tell that he was not a scrawny guy. I could almost imagine him going to the gym and lifting -

No, wait. Freak. He's a freak. Caroline would drop me like I was the plague if I even vaguely showed attraction to him. Then I would have to sit next to Marcel.

"You gonna take it, or are you going to keep staring?" He asked smirking.

I looked at the orange binder that he was trying to give me. I snatched it rudely from his hands and turned to face forward.

From the corner of my eyes I could see him put his hands up, "Jeez, remind me not to help you again."

"I don't need your help. If I don't ask for it, I don't want it. Especially from weirdos like you," I snapped looking sideways at him.

"I'll keep that in mind," He said smugly leaning back into his chair and crossing his arms over his chest
