Niall's point of view
I quickly started making my way towards my dad not wanting him to be any closer to Bailey than he already was. He seemed to understand even in his drunken state as he put his hands up and started stumbling back, signalling that he didn't mean harm.
"You should go back in the living room, you wouldn't want to miss the game," I said trying to get him out of there.
"I understand," he drunkenly chuckled, "Nial doesn like to share. I totlly get it."
I made a disgusted look at him while he turned and made his way back into the living room. When I turned back to look at Bailey she had the same look on her face.
I walked out onto the porch and closed the front door behind me. Bailey was looking awkwardly down at her feet.
"What are you doing here?" I asked. I wasn't exactly sure how I felt about her being here. I was probably more mad than anything. She has the nerve to do all the shit she did today and then show up at my front door and look all innocent. How did she even know to come here?
"I needed to talk to you," she said looking up at me finally.
"Well you had a perfectly good chance to do that earlier and you passed it up." I started turning to go back in side of the house.
I felt her small hand grab my forearm and pull me back.
"Please Niall I wasn't thinking. Can you just listen to me?"
"Whatever." I rubbed my hand up and down my right arm, starting to get cold standing outside without a jacket.
Bailey took in a breath. "I knew I made a mistake the second I left. I was an idiot and I know. My only excuse is that it was impulse. I was in a situation were I felt I couldn't give you some spur of the moment answer and that was my excuse out. Caroline texted me and asked me to meet her at the mall. That's where I went, but I only stayed for like two hours. I couldn't concentrate, Niall. All I was thinking about was how I left you back there and how I was such an idiot for doing it. I shouldn't have done it. I'm sorry."
I sighed. "I don't know what you want me to tell you Bailey. You did what you did, I have no control over that."
She looked at me with her mouth open slightly. "Niall please," she said quietly.
"Bailey this is so fucking messed up," I said louder, beginning to lose my temper. "What did you honestly think was going to happen? Did you think that you were going to knock on my door and I was just going to be all cheerful and delighted that you're back? Well clearly that's not the case. I give you chances; I try to be your friend I get nothing in return. God damn it Bailey, I try to tell you that I want to be more than friends and you fucking walk away with the worst excuse I have ever heard in my entire life! How do you even know where I live?"
She looked down, "I knocked on everyone's door until someone told me you lived here."
"You what?" I asked taken back.
"Well I mean, I knew you lived on this street since we dropped you off so I just tried everyone's door until one of your neighbors said that you lived here."
I didn't say anything.
"Niall, I needed to talk to you," she said, her voice wavering.
No.
