*Niall's point of view*

I could practically feel the cold shoulder the moment she turned around. The smile dropped from my face. I thought being welcoming might get us somewhere, but clearly she wasn't about to be swayed. I had a feeling Caroline had something to do with this. That damn bitch was getting in my way. I could tell that Caroline was pissed when she saw Bailey smile back at me, and she seemed to be not all together happy when she was talking to her at lunch. It's not like I feel bad or anything for getting her in trouble.

Throughout the rest of the school day I kept checking my phone to see if Bailey had texted me. Which is stupid, I know. She didn't even want my number in the first place. Too bad.

When the day ended, I met Marcel and James at the front of the building.

"Did you see her at all?" James asked as I walked up.

"Relax, I told you at lunch that the only time I see her is in homeroom," I said for the fifth time.

"You have her number though, right?" Marcel asked.

I sighed. "Were none of you listening during lunch?"

"Sorry we just wanted to make sure. It just seems like this is happening really fast," James said scratching the back of his head.

"Well get used to it. I've gotten a lot farther a lot faster than I thought I would. I thought it would at least take me a week to get her number. If she's this easy then you guys will be all set by the end of the week," I smirked, the thought exciting me.

"Are you serious?" Marcel asked.

"Yeah, I have a plan of how I'm going to get her to hang out with me. I think I know how to push her buttons to make her hang out with me. And now that I have her number I'm going to start tonight. Aren't you excited?" I asked knowing full well that the both of them were still a little stand off-ish about it. Jane was the only one that was bursting when I told her that I had already gotten Baileys number. She seemed impressed with me.

James shrugged, "I guess so, but I have to start thinking more about how I'm going to do this. To be honest I probably got the easiest target. Gregory is the biggest idiot in the school."

"All you gotta do is just send him messages telling him his dick is small and he'll being crying to his mom in minutes," I said and we all laughed.

"You're right," James laughed.

I flung my bag over my shoulder, "I'm going to head out guys. Wish me luck."

"Good luck," James said.

"See ya," Marcel waved.

I got into my car, well my dad's car, and started the short drive to my house. In all honesty I could probably walk but why should I when I can just take my dad's car that he never drives because he's too wasted to see straight.

I entered my house and could here the fainted cheers of the television playing some football game.

I was about to walk upstairs when I heard a grunt behind me. "Where do you think you're going?" My dad slurred. Wow, looked who's drunk again. He's always keeping me on my toes.

"Going to do homework," I said, not turning around.

"No. You're going to stand here and explain to me why you think it's perfectly fine to take my car without my permission," I could hear him coming closer.

"Because you don't drive it."

"Maybe I don't drive it because when I want to I find out my son has taken it without asking."

"You were asleep. I didn't want to wake you," I lied, my back still to him.

"Bullshit. You have been doing this since school started weeks ago, and I was a good father and didn't say anything. But I got to thinkin' and you know what? That car in the driveway. That's my shit. I pay for it and my name is on the contract. So don't go and pretend that your the son of God himself and you're such an angel because you don't wake me up in the morning. All you are is a piece of shit that thinks he can out smart his old man and take his car whenever he wants to," He said his voice getting louder.

I turned and shrugged, masking how I really felt. "Fine take it. Your car's a piece of crap anyways," I said throwing the keys at him without warning.

He was so out of it that he just the keys fall to the floor. I heard him yelling something after me as I turned back and ran up the stairs two at a time. I made my way to my room and locked the door behind me.

I pulled my phone out of my bag and sat down at my desk. As I expected there were no new messages.

I scrolled through my contacts and found her name. I quickly typed a message.

Me: How was your day?

I set the phone down and pull some homework out of my bag. I had nothing else to do to pass the time and honestly I always did my homework. It was just a habit. I didn't really expect Bailey to text back and after about ten minutes I was almost sure she wouldn't. I almost jumped out of my chair when my phone vibrated.

Bailey: Wht do you want?

Me: Well I asked you how your day was so..

Bailey: It was fine.

Me: My day was great thank you for asking

Bailey: I didn't ask.

Me: Wow someones in a bad mood was it something I said?

Bailey: Why are u doing this?

Me: Doing what?

Her next text took longer for her to reply and I almost thought she wouldn't.

Bailey: Why are u talking to me?

Me: Because I think you're interesting

Bailey: How flattering

I laughed.

Me: We should get to know eachother. I think you have the wrong idea of me.

Bailey: No.

Me: Why? Because Caroline says so?

Bailey: No.

Me: Then why not?

Bailey: Cause I said no.

Me: You're not even giving me a shot here

Bailey: I think u'll get over it.

Me: How do you know? Maybe I'm madly in love with you and I just want you to see the real me

Bailey: Bullshit.

Me: Well you know what they say, you never know unless you try

Again, she took longer to respond. Hopefully it was because she was thinking. It had been about twenty minutes since I sent her the last text. My hand flew to my phone when it vibrated.

Bailey: Wht is it u have in mind?

Me: A walk on the beach under the moon light?

Bailey: No.

Me: I'm kidding I would never do that. I just wanted to play an innocent game of twenty questions

Bailey: Fine. U go first.
