6. The Annoying Sam Walter

Sam seemed confused, when Thea introduced him to Johan.

He looked at her and said, "I thought, it was going to be just the two of us." Johan couldn't help but laugh at the old man's expression.

Johan introduced himself to Sam, who still seemed confused. He looked at Thea for an explanation.

Thea said, "Oh, Sam darling, even though I would absolutely love to spend my evening with you, I have work that needs attending to. You see this is my friend, his name is Johan and if you don't cooperate with us, he will snap you into two and throw your body into a river." She ended her threat with a seductive smile.

Sam looked Johan up and down and laughed. He said, "This man? This man, will snap me into two? He doesn't look like he could harm a fly! Tell me boy, how much does she pay you to protect her? I'll pay you double if you work for me."

Johan couldn't help but laugh at this. The tiny man, had just told him he was harmless and moreover he said he would pay him to be his bodyguard. Johan rose to his full height, stared at the small man and said, "Sir, I think you are mistaken, I am not her bodyguard. Thea is my girlfriend and we have questions that need answering. Now, whether you are willing to answer them or not doesn't matter, you have to answer them."

Sam could sense that Thea and Johan were not joking, he looked up at Johan and said, "Let's go to my room in the hotel, we can talk in peace there."

Thea had her doubts about following Sam. He didn't seem like someone she wanted to trust, but Johan didn't seem to have any objections. Sam led Thea and Johan through a maze of hallways and people before they stood in front of room number 0012.

Thea followed Johan and Sam into the spacious room. It was sprawled with all kinds of luxuries. Expensive wine, food and clothes were everywhere. It was like Sam lived in his hotel room. Sam excused himself to use the bathroom.

Thea glared at Johan and he shrugged and said, "Don't be mad about the girlfriend thing, I only did it so he would leave you alone for the rest of the night. I mean, if you want I can always say I'm not your boyfriend and let the little man beg you to sleep with him. If that's what you want."

He ended the remark with a smirk as he knew that he had won the argument. Thea gave him one last searing glare and turned around when she heard the bathroom door click.

Sam came out in his pyjamas, with a cup of wine in his hand. He settled down in between Thea and Johan and gave them an 'hit me with your best shot' look.
