Frisk woke up on the front step of Grillby's.
Grillby was staring down at the child with a blank expression. A Phone in his right hand and the keys to the restaurant in the other.
"Hey buddy? What are you doing out here?"
Sans asked relieved as he walked over. Picking up the human and turning to Grillby. "Thanks for the call pal." Grillby nodded and opened the restaurant.
"SANS IS THE HUMAN ALRIGHT?!" Papyrus yelled as he ran over. Undyne followed casually behind. "You okay?" Sans asked in a calm tone. Frisk nodded and sniffled.
"Why were you outside?" Sans chuckled as Papyrus cooked with Undyne in the kitchen. "Why is your sink so high up again?" Undyne asked while crawling up the excessively tall cupboard. "THATS SIMPLE I-" Undyne silenced the sweet hearted skeleton.
"It's okay buddy. I remember." Papyrus rattled his bones happily and continued to smash the tomatoes in the counter.
"I wanted to see if I could find Zombie and Degree." Frisk blurted. Sans looked up angrily and sighed.
"Kid, listen. I promised to take care of you. Stop looking for trouble."
Frisk nodded and pet Toby the tiny dog as he walked past.
"What's so wrong with them?" Frisk asked. Sans growled.
"They're just... Not safe." Frisk nodded and looked away.
"HUMAN, SINCE YOU'RE HERE WOULD YOU LIKE TO COME TO THE LIBRARBY WITH ME?"
Papyrus changed the subject. Frisk nodded and got up. Taking Papyrus' hand and walking out with him. "I'll finish cooking." Undyne chuckled. Sans wiped his skull and closed his eyes. Falling asleep on the couch.
Papyrus and Frisk walked through the small town and came to the librarby. They entered. Papyrus was already straining his welcome with his loud laughter whenever he found a book he liked.
Frisk sat reading a puzzles for beginners book. It was a good read but Papyrus was eyeing Frisk hopefully so he might read it aswell.
"IVE ALREADY READ IT TWICE BUT ITS QUITE THE GOOD ONE."
Papyrus blurted happily as Frisk closed the book. He gave a hearty "NYEH HEH HEH!" As it came into his grasp.
Frisk sat quietly as Papyrus read. They weren't too interested in any of the other books but we're happy to sit.
Frisk looked out the window to see the tracks had faded to nothing with the chilling breeze blowing through Snowdin.
Frisk was angry they had missed the chance to catch Zombie and Degree to see what their deal was, and to see if they could befriend the two estranged monsters.
Frisk looked back to Papyrus whom was deeply intrigued by his book. Looking behind him to see a long red tail dragging behind the shelf. Frisk jumped up slowly and walked past Papyrus without him noticing.
Frisk ran to the shelf and grabbed the long red tail. Looking up mistaken to see it was rather a tentacle.
"Pardon me." Frisk excused them self embarrassed. The tentacled monster nodded and smiled.
Frisk kicked at the carpet and walked back to their seat. Looking back out the window. They watched annoyed as monsters happily walked down the streets. A bear beast, a rabbit woman, a skeleton. Frisk's heart stopped again and got up. Looking back to Papyrus whom was half way done the book being strangled in his hands.
Frisk left the librarby and looked around excitedly, spotting Zombie walking down the street with bags of food in her arms.
Frisk skipped up slowly, making sure the little skeleton didn't notice them. Zombie was humming and bobbing along, headphones wedged into her ear sockets.
Frisk was fairly quiet until Zombie tripped a little and looked about to make sure no one saw. Zombie spotted Frisk a few houses down and began to walk faster, seeking slightly. Frisk was expecting Zombie to leave town but instead she turned to the underground pathway, sliding in quickly. Frisk ran up and slid in as well. Yet when they surfaced there was no Zombie.
Frisk looked about that side of the tunnel until realizing Zombie had hidden behind the igloo when Frisk came out and slid back down to the other side when she had the chance.
Frisk was Zombie running on the other side of town. Frisk slid back through the tunnels and followed closely.
