Degree was about to answer but was interrupted by the door slamming open."HUMAN YOU'RE OKAY! SANS SAID YOU WERE IN TROUBLE! WE HAVEN'T SEEN YOU SINCE THE LIBRARBY! ARE YOU ALRIGT?!" Papyrus squawked while looking Frisk over. Degree looked down as Papyrus approached. "MY BROTHER IS NOT HAPPY WITH YOU... AND WHERE IS ZOMBIE?" He asked while looking behind her. Degree looked up afraid as she heard yelling from outside.
The three peeped out the window to see Sans and Zombie talking in heated tones and staring dead eyed at each other.
"I told you, I told you not to let the kid see either of you." Sans said angrily. Zombie sighed and rubbed her cheeks. "She didn't do anything wrong they were joking around!"
Sans shook his head and rammed his hands into his pockets.
"I promised to keep that kid away from trouble. Degree is trouble and you know that."
Zombie hissed defensively and sat in the snow. "She hasn't done anything to that kid! Why can you let it be?!"
Sans shook his head again and paced forward slowly. "Bring me the kid and my brother. Then I'm leaving."
Zombie hesitated but nodded and got up.
"You know it's only a matter of time before Degree lashes out... Another burden on your shoulders."
Sans mumbled quietly, yet loud enough for Zombie hear. Zombie turned enraged and flung a bone at Sans. "SHE IS NOT A BURDEN."
Sans dodged and smiled. He shot bones back at Zombie whom dodged the majority besides one that ripped through her sweater. Frisk leaned back onto Papyrus and sniffled.
"Crap." Degree mumbled while looking back. Frisk looked over to see that the food on Zombie's plate had been eaten. The other bottle empty next to a cup stained with pink liquid.
"Stop it Zombie this ain't right. Just let it go."
Zombie growled in pain and held her stomach. Her lower jaw was stuck to her face. Pink liquid dripping out.
"Zombie what'd you do?" Sans whispered looking down at the slime.
"Nothing!" Zombie lashed out another array of bones. Sans blocked and snapped out of his sympathetic state.
"BROTHER!" Papyrus yelled from in the house. Sans looked over and Zombie hit him with another attack. Sans looked up and smiled. Sending off a barricade of bones around Zombie, she shot them away with her own.
Sans and Zombie fought stale. Never hitting each other either from missing or from the target dodging.
Sans had had enough of the fight and began to sweat under pressure. Zombie had gone into a psychotic state. Her eyes darting all over the battle field.
Sans was finding it harder and harder to hit her. He became angry. Stressed. And he lost control. Sans yelled as a Gaster blaster appeared. It flipped its mouth open and shot at Zombie immediately. She yelled as the light approached. Sans huffed and looked over shocked. Zombie had dodged the attack with a pair of large, pale purple hands that seemed to glow off her real hands. They had large holes in the palms.
Zombie looked up surprised as if she didn't expect them to be there. She looked down at sans and her cheek bones pulled back to what looked like a smile.
Sans growled and shot at her again with more blasters. Zombie blocked them. Grabbing one of the blasters and flinging it at the other. Sans let out a frustrated growl and held out his hand. He waved it about, flinging Zombie to the side. Her large magical hands scraping the ground to keep her from being tossed away.
Zombie flicked her wrist angrily and a wave of bones approached Sans. He stepped to the side into the mist of snow. He couldn't see. Zombie jumped out from the mist and grabbed his throat with her real hands.
Sans tried to pushed her off. They struggled for what seemed like decades. Although I was only seconds.
Sans finally pushed zombie off.
"Stop fighting!" Sans yelled as zombie threw up some of the pink goop stuck in her chest cavity. It stained her shirt with pink blotches.
Zombie shivered on the ground in silence. Sans holding her soul above his head. Sans nodded and gave it back to her after she held up her hand in submission. Sans looked up to the house to see Papyrus sobbing his eyes out. Degree patting him on the head awkwardly as he hugged her. Frisk sat on Degree's shoulders.
"Hey Sans..." Zombie coughed while grabbing the leg of his shorts. Sans looked down sympathetically thinking she wanted help up. "You should never... Look away from the enemy." She looked up dead eyed and tried to tackle him again. Sans flung her aside and she hit a tree. Her skull giving a sickening crack. Sans growled and his eye glowed a deep cyan.
Degree screamed. Her voice making the house rumble. She ran outside and shoved Sans away. Degree picked up Zombie and placed the jaw back in her pocket. Papyrus ran to his brother and grabbed his shoulder. "BROTHER... Shhhh... It's okay calm down." Frisk walked to Degree whom was silent and bug eyed. Zombie was melting slightly onto her. Frisk looked down to see thin pieces of bone littered on the ground. Frisk picked them up and brought them to Degree.
"What's that..." She said hoarsely. Frisk looked Zombie over to see the large hole in her head. It stretched down past her frontal plate to her left eye which had sunken in. Degree shuddered and began to breath heavily. Screaming as it settled in. Zombie stirred and sputtered out more pink goop.
"Look what you did!" She yelled at sans while holding up Zombie. Zombie sputtered again and her head cracked a bit more.
"Shh shh... We're gonna go home I promise..." Degree hiccuped while picking up the shards in the ground. She shuddered and walked inside.
Sans looked down at is hands and clenched them. He rammed them in his pockets and turned away.
"Cmon Frisk, you and I are going to see Alphys. Tell 'er she is going to have some company."
