Frisk woke up to the sound of something cooking. Degree was still asleep and had Frisk in a tight hold like a teddy.
Zombie must've heard Frisk struggling out the grasp because she came over from the kitchen and reached under Degree's arm, lifting it for Frisk to get free.
"You can help me cook." Zombie said in a happy tone. Frisk obliged.
The two made eggs and bacon and a humongous pile of ham for Degree.
Zombie patted her apron and hung it on the side of the fridge. There were small magnetic hooks attached for just the purpose.
Frisk nodded as Zombie looked up impressed at The mounts of food on the tables. Only just holding themselves on their plates.
"Looks like we're done, I'll wake up Degree." Frisk said walking over. Zombie stopped them and hushed their tone. "I still have a secret ingredient I add. It's in the closet so it doesn't get ruined. Be quiet and adhered shouldn't hear the screaming hinges." Frisk nodded suspiciously and walked to the stairs. "at the back of the closet." Zombie whispered. Frisk nodded again and walked into the room.
Frisk opened the closet as quietly as possible. Even going as far to spit inn the hinges to they wouldn't squeak.
Frisk looked into the small closet to see three large boxes and a long sword sitting in the back of the closet beside a tiny box that had some odd print on it that Frisk couldn't read.
Frisk squeezed through the boxes and to the back. There was a helmet that looked like it might've fit Degree. Frisk moved the heavy metal piece, finding I tiny doll underneath. It wore a little shirt that said SHAY on the front.
Frisk shrugged and reached for the small box. The sword was knocked by the helmet as Frisk moved it and it fell. Clanging against the boxes and the helmet. There must've been metal parts in the boxes because they clanked and rumbled as the sword cut into them.
Degree woke up and ran up the stairs. The smell of her cigars heavily perfuming the room as she entered. Degree looked into the closet to find Frisk clutching to the helmet. Degree huffed and picked them up. "Find my stash huh?" She asked. Frisk shrugged and smiled. "Well, now you know." Degree mumbled while fixing the mess in the closet. "Know what?" Degree sighed and hesitated when picking up the sword. "I was part of the royal guard." Frisk clapped and demanded to hear the story Degree refused and looked down while putting away the sword in her hand.
"What's this?" Degree asked while picking up the tiny box. Looking it over before opening. Degree sniffed the contents and growled. Slamming the box shut and stomping down the stairs Frisk followed confused and chewed on their knuckle.
"Zombie, where did you get this?" Degree asked while holding the box out. Zombie's pupils shrank with fear. "Uh, well I..." Degree hissed and opened the box. "You stole this from the lab didn't you?!" Zombie shuddered and nodded slowly. "I was going to give it back." Degree growled and put the box on the table. Frisk opened it revealing tiny bottles. They were all empty except for two. The liquid within them a pale pink. Flecks of a yellow cartilage material inside.
"That is sick. You've been poisoning me with that horrid stuff..." Zombie shook her head and took the bottles. "I didn't use any on you! I..." Zombie opened one of the little bottles and poured it into her food. Leaving Degree's untouched.
"... Why? That's not even the right one!" Degree asked angrily. Zombie looked up and sighed. "I... I know I Wanted to be strong. I was..." Zombie growled and looked at Frisk. "It doesn't matter. Go on. You were taking the kid home. Go ahead." Zombie turned away. Degree hissed and put on her jacket before slamming the door behind her.
Frisk looked at the door fearfully, Zombie had never spoken in that tone before.
"Cmon mushy, let's go."
Degree sighed while holding up her tail. Frisk grabbed it and crawled up Degree's back.
The two travelled in silence until they came to the nice cream stand. Frisk jumped and smiled. "Really kid? Why don't you buy one for yourself." Frisk pouted and Degree huffed. "Fine, here I'll give you the coat for two nice cream." She hissed while handing the man at the stand her coat. He shivered gratefully and handed Degree two cones. Degree handed one to Frisk and began to walk again.
Frisk stopped Degree once more and flipped onto the ground.
"What is it now? You want a medal for doing backflips?"
Frisk shook their head and pointed to the large snow ball ahead of them. Degree scrunched her nose and sighed. "I'm not playing that." Frisk smiled. "What about a wager?"
Degree turned back to Frisk and smiled intrigued. "What sort of wager?"
Frisk clapped. "If I win you gotta be friends with me. If you win I give you the rest of my nice cream and I leave you and Zombie alone."
Degree licked her lips and fixed her tank top.
"You got a deal." Frisk shook her hand and they started.
It took three rounds for degree to finally get the ball of snow into the hole. Frisk only took two turns.
"That's no fair! You must've cheated." Degree hissed. Frisk shook their head and held out their arms. Degree snickered. "You think winning game was good thing? Hardly! Now you must face my fury." Degree growled while chasing Frisk back to the path. Catching the tiny human and holding  them tightly with sharp scarlet claws.
"You little stinker. You've played that game before haven't you?" Degree hissed. Frisk nodded and reached out their arms for Degree's face. Degree leaneed away as Frisk grabbed her protruding front teeth and kissed her in the nose. "ew." She growled while wiping her nose. Frisk chuckled and hit Degree in the same spot with a tiny fist. "Hey!" Degree huffed. She chuckled and pretended to begin eating Frisk. "No!" Frisk laughed as Degree opened her large jaws. Her breath smelling of booze and smoke.
Frisk and Degree played this game of cat and mouse for a while. Degree catching Frisk only one other time and threatening to eat them again. Frisk screamed as Degree lowered them into her mouth jokingly. Opening her eyes only for a second to see someone watching from behind a tree. Degree closed her mouth and pulled Frisk to her chest. "Okay Frisk that's enough fun. Let's go back to Zombie. She's probably either dumped all that pink crap in the drain or bawled her eyes out enough by now." Frisk looked up surprised as Degree referred to them by their first name.
"What's going on? I thought you were taking me back to Sans?"
Frisk asked confused as Degree ran through the forest nervously. Her large feet lifting them quickly through the snow.
"Listen kid, that's the problem. Sans is the danger." Degree continued in an out of breath tone. Frisk scrunched their nose as Degree kicked off a log. "I saw him but the golf course. He was watching us. He didn't look too happy."
Frisk nodded as they reached the house. Degree placed the tiny human inside and called for Zombie.
The two bickered outside for a while before degree came back in sweating fearfully. "Why are you so afraid?" Frisk asked. Degree chuckled and reached for a bottle of liquor in the fridge. "Kid don't play dumb, you and I both know why Sans is scary. I've seen your deleted saves."
Frisk looked at Degree surprised and scratched their head.
"You know about the timelines?"
