Degree stared away from the camera until Zombie pulled it away and turned it off. "Degree it ain't fair you never say hi in my videos. I gotta delete this one too." Degree looked down and took off her helmet. "Oh cmon chum, don't worry about it. Besides I was making faces through my helmet in sure you'll see it.
Zombie sniffed her nose and waddled back into the lab as Alphys called her in.
"Aw do I gotta eat that goop again?" She complained. Alphys nodded and gave Zombie a spoon of determination mixed with something else. "It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't have the crunchy bits." Zombie sighed while choking down the spoon. Alphys nodded and smiled. "Good job. Now here, you get a sticker. I think Degree will like that one!" Zombie looked at the sticker as it was placed into her bone. "You're Dino-mite.." Zombie read aloud. "Ack, that's a bad one." She chuckled while putting the sticker onto her camera.
"Alphys do you think I could go outside today? Degree said its nice out." Alphys sighed and smiled. "I- I'm sorry Zombie but you know you can't. Not now at least. Zombie nodded and sighed.
"You can come visit the king with me if you want." Alphys smiled. Zombie smiled back and took Alphys' arm.
The two walked down the hall to find Undyne happily walking down to the main hall.
"Hey there." Undyne said sheepishly as Alphys passed. "Hi." She responded.
The two came to the room but stopped when they saw Degree speaking with the king.
"My king, I wanted to know if there was another way to obtain the souls? I mean it just feels wrong to kill someone like that..."
Asgore shook his heavy head. Zombie had never met the queen but she knew that the king missed her dearly. She must've been wonderful.
"Alphys, come in." Asgore said as he spotted the two standing in the door way. Degree grumbled and slapped her helmet back on. "Resume your post." Undyne said as she passed.
"Would you like some tea?" Asgore smiled to Zombie as they approached. Zombie nodded and Asgore handed her a cup. It warmed her as she drank it.
"So, how are the experiments?" Asgore spoke with Alphys about the other experiments. Alphys had told Zombie to keep the experiments she had done on her and Degree a secret. To say they were simply assistants.
Alphys finished up the conversation and took Zombie's hand. Bringing her back to the lab. "Bed time." Zombie grumbled and slid into bed. Alphys gave her another scoop of determination and turned out the lights.
"Sleep well we have guests tomorrow."
Zombie nodded. "Secret guests? Like Sans?" Alphys nodded and walked off.

*time skip*

Zombie woke up with Degree asleep on the floor beside her bed. Her armour loosely hanging to her. "Deggo, wake up we have guests." Degree snorted awake. Her eyes bloodshot. "Are you okay?" She asked. Degree nodded in a hungover state and wiped the crusty tears off her face. "I'm good. Who's the guests?" She mumbled. Zombie shrugged and got out of bed.
"Degree, Zombie come." Alphys called. Degree was given days off during the week to help Alphys. This was one of those days.
"Zombie I want you to meet Papyrus." Zombie looked up shocked at the height of the skeleton. "Woah! You're so tall! You look so cool! Are you a member of the royal guard? Degree I want to be that tall!" Papyrus was already flustered and smiled. "NO IM NOT PART OF THE ROYAL GUARD BUT... hmmm." Papyrus wondered. He stuck his finger up and smiled.
"NYEH HEH HEH!" He yelled triumphantly. Zombie looked up and cleared her throat. "NYEH HEH HEH!" She copied Papyrus.
Papyrus screeched and swung the tiny skeleton about.
"SANS ITS A TINY ME CLONE, AND IT KNOWS HOW COOL I AM!"
Sans nodded and shrugged. "Accurate." He mumbled. Degree sighed and rolled  her head. "You still dosing that one or did it not work?" Sans asked. Papyrus looked at his brother confused. "Dosing?" Zombie asked. Degree looked away angrily.
"Papyrus, you know how sometimes your arm hurts in the morning? And why your one pinky is missing its joint but you don't ever remember losing it?"
Papyrus nodded and Sans grabbed Zombie by the arm. Showing a particularly familiar pinky joint.
"THATS MINE! Does that mean. SHES AN ACTUAL CLONE?!"
Papyrus freaked. Degree growled. "No, it means she has your DNA. Dunno why she needed to use zombie for this. I think one was good enough." Papyrus looked over excitedly. "YOU'RE A ME CLONE TOO?!" Degree shook her head and pointed to sans. "Sans had... Special medicine like you take Zombie. And I wanted to test out what would happen if the medicine was taken from something already using it. If it did anything different. And you take the medicine with someone who didn't have as much." Alphys said softly. "I see." Zombie mumbled.
The small group spoke for a while before Sans and Papyrus departed. Zombie got a video of them on her camera.
"Do you need anymore of mine?" Sans asked. Alphys shook her head as Papyrus wandered off. "I've got an extra box in my lab." Zombie looked up and shrugged. Not taking the talk into account. Until she remembered how strong Degree was. And that she was part of sans.
Zombie waited until everyone else was asleep before sneaking to the study. She found a tiny box with little bottles of determination inside. Flecks of Sans' cartilage and marrow floating about inside. Zombie looked back when she heard Degree stumbling down the hall. Falling in her face.
Degree hated the idea of killing humans. She had never even seen one but she hated it none the less.
Zombie was a little frustrated with how Degree never got heard. From her young perspective, Degree was the greatest person ever, and should've been taken seriously.
Zombie sat angrily as she opened one of the tiny bottles. She drank its contents and cringed. It tasted so different. Sour almost.
Zombie lugged the tiny box under her bed. Feeling the determination course through her body. Like an adrenaline rush. Degree sniffled and Zombie looked over wild eyed she reached over and saw Degree's sword.

Take it...

Zombie held her head as this voice rang out. It was calm and hurt her ear sockets with strange noises. It's familiar tone making her cringe with memories of pain.

The king should know who to listen to

Zombie hesitated but the determination in her system caused her to grab Degree's dagger. It was still too large to hold regularly. Dragging it down the hallway, Zombie drooled and her eyes darted about like a maniac.
Zombie found the king in the judgement hall. Drinking tea and staring out one of the large windows. Zombie hesitated as the king didn't notice her.

Do it

Zombie swung at the king. Slinging the knife into his leg and cutting his arm. He howled in pain. Awakening probably half the castle. Before Zombie could do anything else Undyne swooped in, blocking Zombie's next swing.
"I knew you were a rat!" Zombie snapped out of her trance and dropped the dagger. Undyne swung and Zombie dodged.
Degree opened her eyes dazed from the drink in her body. Her vision focusing on Undyne backing Zombie to a corner. Holding a spear above her head. Degree shot up from her spot on the ground and ran in front of Zombie. Blocking the hit.
"Don't you dare." Degree burped. Undyne scrunched her nose and slashed at Degree. Degree blocked it and counter attacked with her sword. Zombie looked away and shivered as pink slime leaked from her nasal passage.
