Two years later
Noah's POV
"Today we are gathered here to celebrate the love of two people who are in it forever," the officiant says.
Calm down, I'm not getting married. But Abby is... To Jagger. Yes you heard me right. When I went back to California, my mom told me they got back together. And I was happy because I'm letting her move on from me. But it hurt... Bad.
But now I'm sitting in the front watching my brother and my former lover get married. I wasn't surprised when he didn't make me his best man because the last time I talked to him, he was rubbing Abby off in my face. And they say brothers love each other.
"They're such a cute couple," Chloe says. Oh yeah, I didn't introduce Chloe. We've been dating for... I think a year now. I honestly don't know but she doesn't need to know that. "How're you feeling big guy?"
I smile," great."
He rubs my arm and kisses me on the cheek," it's been two years since you've last seen her. Do you feel anything?"
I sigh," I'm sitting next to the girl of my dreams. Nothing could be better."
She blushes before lying her head onto my shoulder.
"Do you, Jagger Evans, take Abigail Rose to be your-"
"I sure as hell do," he immediately says as the crowd laughs. That's Jagger for ya. Always jumping ahead of things. The officiant smiles before looking over at Abby. She hasn't done anything except smile. But it's a weird smile, y'know? Like she has four smiles. She has the fake smile which she gives everyone when she's upset or mad or annoyed. She has the sympathetic smile which she gives to the homeless or when she's giving someone her sympathy. There's the absolutely beautiful smile she gives off when she's genuinely happy... The one with teeth showing and everything. And there's this one... Her worried smile. The smile she gives off when she doesn't know what's going to happen.
"Abigail Rose, do you take Jagger Evans to be your husband, promise to love, honor, cherish and protect him, forsaking all others and holding only unto him?" the officiant says as Abby stands there. She's getting anxious, I know she is. She has done such a good job getting rid of her anxiety, why does it have to come back now?!
"I-" she says before she cuts herself off. "I don't."
Everyone gasps. Oh no.
"Abby? What's wrong?" Jagger asks as Abby continuously shakes her head and starts to cry. It's her wedding day, she doesn't deserve this. "Abby, get up. You're causing a scene."
She continues crying as everyone watches and stares.
"Alright!" I say, loud enough so everyone can hear me. "Why don't you all head to the reception hall first and these two love birds will catch up with you later... Okay? Okay. Bye now!"
One by one, people listen to me and leaves. I tell Chloe to leave as well because I don't know what's going to happen.
"Noah, why the fuck is she like this? It's not hard to say I do," Jagger complains.
"It is when you're saying it to the wrong person," I snap as he gives me a death stare. One that I'm not afraid of anymore because he's not as intimidating before. "You're getting married to her and you don't even know about her anxiety?!"
"She told me it went away!" he argues.
I scoff," anxiety isn't a fucking cold, Jagger. It doesn't just go away. Abby suffers from really bad anxiety and she worked really hard to try getting rid of it but we all know it's always going to be a part of her. And you have to love and accept that you dick."
