Abby's POV

"Jeez Meg, what have you been doing?" I ask as we both walk down a street of cute shops. "I missed you so much."

"I've been teaching kids tennis on the East coast for a while now. Ugh, it's so much fun. I wish you joined me," she says as we walk into a store. I didn't catch the name but it looks familiar. "How's things with you and... You know, your husband."

I roll my eyes," we're just friends, not my husband."

"Mhmm," she says, looking through the racks of clothes. "You're gonna have to do better than that Abs, you can't fool me. What you need to know is that as long as you two are together, there will never be a 'just friends'. It's always gonna be 'Noah and Abby'... Hashtag Nabby."

I sigh because I know it's true," I just don't want to lose him again."

"I understand that but you can't just hide your feelings for him, that's not fair for Noah. He's constantly showing his affection for you every day and you're being a butt about it. At least tell him you still love him," she explains. By now she has nine shirts in her hands. How is that even possible?

"He knows I still love him."

"But tell him Abs. Guys love hearing their girl loves them. Trust me on this," she says, walking into the fitting rooms. How does she always know the right thing to say?

I decide on doing some actual shopping. I search through tons of clothes and then I found a few new dresses. As I was walking to the cashier, Noah walks in and immediately walks to one of the cashiers. I would say mid-twenties... Short... Cute... What's happening? Instead of walking up to them, I pretend I'm in high school and hide behind a rack. The two of them keep talking and talking and then they hug and he leaves. Um... What?

Meg walks out and stares at me," what?"

"Noah just came in, talked to one of the cashiers, hugged her and left... Wow."

"Are you jealous?" she smirks, putting some clothes back onto the "return" rack.

I roll my eyes," no, I am not. Noah is a free man who can do whatever he desires. He doesn't need me to tell him what or what not to do. It's not like we're a couple or anything. It's-"

"A simple yes or no would do," she cuts in, walking to the cashier. They have a simple conversation before the cashier eyes me down. Stupid "steal your boy" cashier.

"Abby Rose?" she asks as I nod. "Um... Did you see anything going on just before?"

"See what? See Noah come in and you two acting all lovey-dovey? Nope, I saw no such thing. In fact, you two make a cute couple-"

"Abby," Meg warns as I shut up.

The cashier sighs," it's really not what it looks like."

"It doesn't matter," I say, putting my pile of dresses down and walking out of the store. I can't believe he already moved on. I knew Noah had some tricks up his sleeves but I always thought they were for me.

A few minutes later, Meg walks out with two bags. She hands one for me and says they're my dresses I abandoned. "I thought you left me."

"I haven't seen you in forever, I'm not ditching you just because of my anger," I say. "Besides, you keep me sane in this world. I couldn't leave you."

My senses started "tingling" and I spot Noah across the street leaving a jewelry store. And yes, there's really something in me that knows when Noah is near me. It's weird but comes in handy in situations.

"Why was he in a jewelry store?" I ask. "Is he buying that cashier some fancy bling?"

Meg sighs," do you really think Noah left you for her? For all I know, that's probably for you. Don't be surprised when you see that waiting in your room... And how in the world did you know-"
