Chapter 8

Today after school I had basketball practice. I didn't exactly sign up but someone had to put me there or else I would never be there.

I was there 15 minutes early in the uniform I got making half courts and full courts and working on my skills.

Everyone soon came and the ball went in with a swish when I hit a full court.

"Are you on the team?" One girl asked smiling.

"Um..." I looked at coach and he nodded.

"Ok yeah. 30 seconds ago. Just confirmed." I said and I hit another full court that went in with a swish.

"Took you long enough to do what you love." Another girl said.

"No it only took.... 10 years." I said smiling.

"I'm Audrey." She said.

"Alexa Brooks. Everyone knows." She said smiling. I nodded smiling as practice started.

Practice was over and I was about to walk home but Jay offered to take me home. I mean Jayden.

"Um no thanks Jay-Jayden." I slightly stammered.

"Where?" He asked. I started touching his skin before I pushed him and made a run for it.

"No you don't baby girl." He said catching me. He put my arms around my waist and my breathing hitched and he smirked.

"You like it when I touch you?" Jay asked amused.

"Look I'm going home with my legs." I snapped changing the subject.
