Chapter 14

"So uh are you free after school tomorrow?" Jake asked.

"No I'm not. I have to take care of my sister." I said.

"I'll take care of her. Go have fun." I heard Jason say from behind me.

"No-"

"She's free." Jason said and I glared at him.

"Do you want to go do something together?" Jake asked smiling.

"Yeah. Sure." I said looking at him.

"Ok. I'll see you 8th period kitten." He said.

Kitten? Kitten?!

"Bye Jake." I said.

He was out of sight and I glared at Jason.

"You need to have fun. Let down your wall and be a girl." Jason said.

"I'm not going to fucking let my wall down until I trust that kid." I said.

"I'll watch your sister." Jason said.

"You know you've been getting a little close to my sister." I said.

"Yeah." Jason said.

"You love her." I said.

"No I don't love her I'm just being a nice friend." Jason said looking down.

"Ok." I said.

I caught up to Jayden and Alexa.

"Hey what's up with you and Jake?" Alexa asked.

"Nothing that's what's up. I told you I hate guys." I said.

"Audrey." Alexa said grabbing my face.

I looked at her.

"I know your Dad abuses you and I'm not going to lie and tell you I know how you feel. But don't punish yourself because of your Dad. This is high school. You're not going to be here for long so have fun." Alexa said smiling at me.

"Well I'm going to hang out with him after practice and school." I said.

"Oh that's great." Alexa said smiling.

"No it's not great. I don't know what to wear." I said.

"We like the same type of clothes. I'll help you." Alexa said smiling.

After practice I got everybody and we went to go pick up Aubrey who was in trouble with me.

"Hi Audrey." Aubrey said.

"Hey. You got in school suspension right?" I asked.

"Yeah but he was bothering me." Aubrey defended.

"You didn't tell a teacher?" I asked.

"No because I could handle it myself. And I did." Aubrey said.

"Aubrey what have I told you about this smart mouth?" I asked.

"It's not a smart mouth it's me saying the truth." Aubrey said.

"Hey Aubrey be nice." Jason said.

"Ok. Audrey he was bothering me and I punched him." Aubrey said nicely.

"Next time you're gonna be in trouble with me. You know me." I said.

Aubrey nodded and cuddled into Jason who stroked her hair.

"I think you love her." Justin muttered.

Alexa's Pov

Once we got home we started looking for outfits and it wasn't hard because we really do have the same style. I was wearing a red sweater that said nerd and a red beanie with black jeans and fresh black and purple Jordan's.

"You look like you." Alexa said smiling.

"Yeah that's who I am. Stupid boy asked me out." I muttered rolling my eyes.

"You didn't have to say yes." Alexa said.

"I tried to use Aubrey but then your jack ass brother Jason decided to mess it up." I said.

Alexa chuckled as there was a knock on the door.

"Have fun." Alexa said laughing.

"Oh go to hell." I said glaring at her.

I opened the door to see Jake. Looking sexy. I looked him up and down and shrugged.

"So what're we doing?" I asked smiling.

"Something cool." Jake said smiling.

"Homework?" I asked.

Jake looked at me.

"Stop." He said and I laughed but I quickly stopped. When's the last time I've laughed?

"Are you ok?" Jake asked.

"It's... nothing. I'm fine. Uh let's go." I said putting on a fake smile.
