Frisk stood there and watched as the Barrier shattered into a million pieces and slowly float to the floor. A small breeze kicked up and the pieces danced off the floor and into the air, glittering in the sunlight, which made them look like tiny shards of diamond. Frisk looked at the overworld, squinting her eyes from the sunlight. After being underground for so long, the sun stung her eyes at first glance. She smiled as she felt exhaustion hit her in waves, which made her collapse on the ground on her hands and knees as she swayed from side to side, fighting off the sleep that threatened to take over her. Just as her mind was slipping into unconsciousness she felt two arms wrap around her and hug her tightly. Frisk looked up to see Sans smiling at her. She smiled back, her eyelids drooping. Sans chuckled and it vibrated through his chest, rattling his ribcage. Frisk giggled, wrapping her arms around his torso, snuggling into his sweater. Sans grinned and gently stroked Frisk's head. She yawned and her eyelids flutter shut as she fell into unconsciousness. Sans chuckled again and walked back into the underground, Frisk still in his arms, snuggling into his sweater. Toriel ran up to Sans and looked at Frisk with a worried expression on her face.

"She's not..." Toriel trailed off, tears forming in her eyes.

Sans shook his head with a smile. Toriel sighed and stroked Frisk's hair back from her forehead, and kissed it gently. Sans bit back a growl. He didn't like anyone touching Frisk. Luckily Papyrus walked over.

"THE HUMAN IS PROBABLY JUST TIRED AFTER FIGHTING THAT LITTLE FLOWER!" Papyrus shouted.

"uh...buddy...that...flower wasn't so little in the end..." Sans told him quietly.

"Pfft! I could have beat that pathetic flower with both hands tied behind my back!" Undyne scoffed as her and Alphys walked over to the group of monsters.

"B-but wh-what if y-you d-died U-Undyne...?" Alphys stuttered.

"As if! A pathetic flower could never kill me!" Undyne smirked and Sans rolled his eyes.

"Oh darling~ As if you'd be able to survive fighting that horrible flower~!" Mettaton giggled, putting his hand on Undyne's shoulder.

Undyne glared at him while Alphys watched the interaction anxiously. Sans shifted awkwardly on his feet.

"You wanna go robot?!" Undyne yelled in his face.

"Un-Undyne... P-please s-s-stop... W-we shouldn't b-be fighting..." Alphys whispered barely loud enough for everyone to hear.

Undyne turned to Alphys and knelt down in front of her before hugging her. Alphys smiled and hugged her back. Papyrus awed and Mettaton giggled. Sans sighed and stared at Frisk, a smile stuck on his face.

"i'm going to bring frisk somewhere warm so she can sleep," Sans said as he walked away from the other monsters.

Toriel raised an eyebrow. Sans just ignored her and kept walking. Papyrus realized his brother was leaving and quickly ran after him.

"WAIT FOR ME DEAR BROTHER!" Papyrus yelled.

Sans slowed down a bit but not much. Papyrus ran faster and caught up to his brother, panting heavily.

"WOWIE...BROTHER...YOU ARE...FAST..." Papyrus pants. .

Sans grunted in acknowledgment and kept walking. Papyrus walked beside Sans not saying anything. Frisk shifted in Sans' arms, snuggling into his sweater more, trying to get warmer. Sans smiled and stroked Frisk's hair before hugging her closer. Papyrus looked over and held in a squeal. Sans kept walking completely ignoring everything around him. He didn't even realize how far he walked until the heavy snows of Snowdin pelted down on him. He glanced down at Frisk to see her snuggling deeper into his sweater stealing all his warmth as she shivered slightly. Sans started running faster, trying to get to his and Papyrus' house before Frisk froze. Papyrus saw his brother struggling and gently grabbed Frisk out of his arms.

"I SHALL CARRY HER SANS! YOU ARE STRUGGLING CARRYING HER THIS FAR! GOING THROUGH THE SNOW WILL PROVE TO BE EVEN MORE DIFFICULT!" Papyrus told him, making his way through the snow with more ease than Sans.

Sans growled and followed Papyrus through the snow. Papyrus easily made it to their house while Sans fell headfirst into the snow a few times. By the time Sans made it to their house, Papyrus was already inside trying to light the fireplace while Frisk was laying on the couch sleeping. Sans shook the snow off of himself and walked over to the couch, lifting Frisk up and sitting down with her head laying on his lap, as he gently stroked her hair smiling. Papyrus finally lit the logs in the fireplace and sat down in front of it, the fire casting a warm glow around the skelebro's living room.

"You like the human, do you not Sans?" Papyrus asked Sans softly, as he stared aimlessly into the fire.

Sans stared at him open mouthed as a light blue blush covered his cheekbones. Papyrus turned his head to look at Sans, a serious expression on his face. Sans closed his mouth and quickly looked away, the blush on his cheekbones turning a darker blue. Papyrus chuckled softly.

"I would not blame you if you did. She is very beautiful," he said, as a light orange blush flushed across his cheekbones.

A growl escaped Sans' throat making Papyrus smirk.

"So you do like the human," Papyrus chuckled.

Sans scowled but didn't look at Papyrus. Papyrus turned back to the fire smiling widely.
