Chara screamed in anger and started standing up. Sans looked at Papyrus, signalling him to leave. Papyrus shook his head and grabbed Sans running out the door, and quickly locking it behind them.

"She shouldn't be able to get out, you can only unlock it from the inside with a key," Papyrus smirked.

"okay where's the key?" Sans asked. Papyrus eyes widened.

"I-I don't know..." he said quickly grabbing Sans' hand and running away from their house.

Sans looked back at the house, hoping that Frisk would be able to fight off the darkness that was Chara's soul. Sans couldn't make sense of his emotions and thoughts. Thoughts of anger, love, concern, sadness, and confusion ran through his head. A few tears formed in his eye sockets and slipped down his cheekbones. Sans faced the direction him and Papyrus were heading and quickly wiped away the tears before Papyrus noticed. Papyrus looked at Sans sadly.

"Brother, Frisk will be fine. She's very strong and I'm sure- no I know she'll be able fight Chara off," he told Sans trying to keep him calm.

Sans sighed and nodded before continuing to walk forward. Papyrus followed him sadly, looking back at the house once.

"Please be okay Frisk... Sans needs you to give him hope..." Papyrus whispered sadly.

Suddenly Sans stopped and dropped on the ground limp. Papyrus picked him up and put him on his shoulders as he ran to Undyne's house. He made it to her house without a second to spare and he banged on her door.

"UNDYNE! ARE YOU HOME?! WE HAVE AN ISSUE!" Papyrus shouted, hoping would be able to hear him.
There was banging from inside and a few curses floated through the door. Footsteps made their way towards the door and the knob just started to turn before Papyrus pushed his way into the house with Sans still on his shoulders.

"What the hell Papyrus?!" Undyne yelled narrowing her eyes at him.

"Chara possessed Frisk..." Papyrus told her.

Undyne's face turned pale and she noticed Sans and quickly grabbed him off of Papyrus' shoulders and laid him on the couch checking him over for any kind of cut or injury. Undyne turned as white as a ghost.

"Alphys!" She shouted and Alphys walked out of her room quickly.

"What's wrong-" she stopped seeing Sans laying on the couch barely breathing.

She rushed over to Sans and quickly checked for the injury Undyne found. Her face paled as well and she ran to grab a medical kit before quickly trying to treat the shallow cut that was hidden just under Sans' shorts. Papyrus looked over Alphys' shoulder to look at it and tears started to form in his eye sockets. The shallow cut and a centimetre around it was black. Papyrus squeezed his eyes shut so he didn't have to look at it anymore and a few tears rolled down his cheekbones, leaving trails of orange. Undyne grabbed Papyrus and pulled him into a tight hug, fighting back tears of her own. She may seem like a hothead but really she's a big softy and watching Papyrus cry almost had her in tears. Undyne cared about Papyrus, he was like a little brother to her and she couldn't stand seeing him hurt. Alphys worked quickly as Undyne and Papyrus moved to sit on the other couch. When Alphys was finished she returned with a jar filled with black goop.

"He's going to be fine... For the most part... Sans might have nightmares frequently..." Alphys explained as Papyrus and Undyne pulled away from each other to listen to Alphys.

She then held up the jar of black goop. Papyrus and Undyne both tilted their heads in confusion.

"This black goop comes from Chara's knife. One little knick and this will enter your system. But see Chara must've cut Sans accidentally because she would have normal aimed for the chest or head," she explained. "Did Frisk happen to be laying on Sans or something?" Alphys asked Papyrus.

"Yes. Something happened between Sans and Frisk, and she ran out of the house and when Sans got back with Frisk, who was passed out in his arms, I lit the fire and he sat in front of it with Frisk laying in his lap," Papyrus explained all at once.

"Frisk's mind must have been weak and she must have not been able to fight off Chara, which is probably why Frisk was being possessed by Chara. Chara is closer to a monster than a human, she has magic just like us," Alphys enquired.

"But hasn't Chara been dead for many years?" Undyne asked.

"Yes but unlike monsters, human souls don't turn to dust, they stay whole and sometimes they will go into a new body... I g-guess Ch-Chara's soul m-must have b-been reb-born in Frisk, b-but Frisk must h-have two souls ins-side her..." Alphys stuttered unsurely.

"But is that even possible?!" Undyne yelled in surprise.

Papyrus punch her on the shoulder and glaring at her. She looked at him confused and Papyrus pointed to the sleeping Sans on the other couch. Undyne rolled her eyes and turned back to Alphys.

"I-I'm not completely s-sure th-that Frisk h-has two s-souls... I'm j-just guessing..." Alphys twiddled her thumbs.

Papyrus twitched slightly before his face went blank, and he stared blankly at Alphys.

"What if Chara was only using Frisk as a vessel? So that way she could use Frisk to do her killings since Chara does not have her own body," Papyrus said, his voice extremely distorted.

"Dr. G-Gaster i-is that y-you...?" Alphys stuttered wide eyed.

"Yes, it is me Alphys," Papyrus said looking at Alphys' face with a smile.

"B-but how..?!" she asked.

"If two souls are compatible or have similarities or the same DNA, one who has enough power can posses the other. For me and Papyrus it is because we are family, I would have used Sans but I did not want to ruin one of the only peaceful sleeps he will have for a while," he explained.

"Do you think that Chara and Frisk may be somehow related?!" Undyne asked.

"Possibly yes, seeing how that would be the most logical way for Chara to posses Frisk. Having similar DNA is one of the easiest ways of possessing someone," Papyrus nodded his head.

"Is there anyway we can help Frisk?" Papyrus asked his voice normal and non-distorted.

"I am afraid not my son, Frisk must do this on her own," Gaster said through Papyrus. The three of them nodded sadly.

"Goodbye Dr. G-Gaster..." Alphys said with a small smile.

"Goodbye Alphys, goodbye Undyne and goodbye Papyrus my son," Gaster said before leaving Papyrus' body.

I'm so sorry that this chapter took so long to be published but I have exams coming up and I have to do them early cuz I'm going on a trip. And no I can't move or cancel the trip cuz the plane ticket is already bought... Yeah... So in other words I've been super stressed ad I've had as light writers block but hopefully I'll be doing a lot of writing over the summer.
