8 (Frisk's p.o.v.)

"Hi Frisk~!" Chara said with that sickening evil grin, red eyes glowing brightly.

"What do you want Chara?" I said annoyedly.

"I don't want anything, what would make you think I wanted something?" Chara asked innocently. I frowned at her.

"Chara you once tried to take over and make me murder all my friends," I said angrily.

Chara just giggled. I growled and backed away as Chara moved forward.

"Just let me have control Frisk~!" Chara giggled.

"Never!" I yelled turning around and running the other direction.

Chara appeared in front of me smirking evilly. She waved her finger side to side at me as if she was disappointed in me. I back up and bumped into something. I turned around to come face to face with Chara again.

"You're not going anywhere Frisk~!" Chara giggled and lunged at me. Then everything went black.

Voices I didn't recognize were talking, one above and one to my left. I couldn't quite make out what they were saying, except the occasional mumble here and there. I felt oddly safe and at home and I didn't want to move or wake up. Then my eyes fluttered open and I tried to close them again. Then I noticed that my vision had a reddish tint to it. That's when it hit me. Chara had control. I panicked as a knife formed in our hand and Chara groaned as she gently made a small cut under someone's shorts. I felt sick as we rolled off whoever's lap we were laying on. Chara closed her eyes again before rolling over and opening our eyes to reveal Sans sitting cross legged in front of us. I wanted to vomit as Chara smirked at him. Sans stood up quickly and backed away yelling something at Papyrus, who in turn practically jumped up.

"Chara please don't do this! You don't need to kill anyone! I can help you get your family back!" I pleaded.

"You expect me to trust you?!" Chara shouted.

"Chara please!" I cried and I felt something went on my face.

"Why should I believe you?" Chara asked frantically wiping away tears.

"Because I'm the only one who can help you," I said calmly.

"How can a weakling like you help me?" Chara asked.

"Because I'm the only one that can," I smiled.

We stopped moving and I gained control again stretching my arms. Chara appeared in front of me, curled into a ball on the floor. I bent down and hugged her gently.

"Chara where's your knife?" I questioned as I rubbed her back.

"I don't know..." she sobbed.

"What do you mean?"

"I-I c-can't remember..." Chara stuttered.

"Shhhh... It's okay Chara... I got you..." I cooed.

Chara continued sobbing until they slowly turning into hiccups. I giggled quietly and grabbed her hand.

"Why haven't you left me yet?" she asked as she wiped away her tears.

"Because I care about you," I said as I gently kissed the top of her head. Chara smiled as more tears filled her eyes.

"Now come on," I said as I stood up, pulling Chara with me. "Let's go find Asriel."

"Wh-what?! B-but the last t-time A-Asriel saw me w-was when I d-died..."
Chara stuttered quietly.

"Chara, Asriel misses you, he needs you," I said, holding her shoulders gently. Chara looked at me before hugging me tightly.

"Thank you Frisk, thank you," Chara sobbed.

"Now come on! Let's go find Asriel!" I said smiling as I dragged Chara out the door.

Chara followed behind me slowly and unsurely. I looked back at her and gave her a reassuring smile. Chara smiled back, and it almost seemed like she was filled with determination. She picked up the pace and walked with a confident stance. I smiled widely and walked beside Chara, grabbing her hand without thinking. Chara looked at me, her cheeks tinted pink. I tilted my head in confusion and Chara looked away so I shrugged it off. We continued walking back towards the ruins and not a single hello was said to us. Now that I think of it, the atmosphere seemed darker than usual. Looking around us, I was surprised that no one was around. All the lights in every building were off and the stores had closed signs on the doors. I looked at Chara and saw that she had a few tears running down her face. I needed to cheer her up fast.

"Hey Chara, knock knock," I giggled.

"Who's there?" she questioned.

"Europe."

"Europe who?"

"No ur a poo," I giggled and Chara burst out laughing.

"That was a good one Frisk," she giggled. The atmosphere started to get lighter and a few people started to poke their heads out of their houses to see what the commotion was. Just then Monster Kid ran up to us and tripped and fell on his face causing me and Chara to burst out laughing again. Me and Chara quickly helped Monster Kid up still laughing.

"Monster Kid you should really watch where you're going," I giggled at him.

He rolled his eyes and looked at Chara his mouth dropping open. Chara shifted uncomfortably on her feet, looking down. Monster Kid quickly shut his mouth and rushed to greet Chara.

"H-Hi I-I'm M-Monster K-Kid, what's y-your n-name...?" he stuttered a small blush on his cheeks.

"I'm Chara, nice to meet you Monster Kid," Chara smiled happily.

"Chara's a pretty name," he giggled.

"Thanks. We have to go now but maybe I'll see you later?" Chara asked.

Monster Kid nodded so furiously that he almost fell over. Chara smiled and we quickly ran away giggling.

"I think Monster Kid has a crush on you~!" I teased with a giggle.

"He is kinda cute," she smiled tucking a bit of hair behind her ear.

I giggled and we continued talking until we reached the ruins door. The door was wide open, probably from when she left the ruins to confront Asgore. Me and Chara looked at each other before running into the ruins back to where I first fell. When we arrived, I noticed the small goat boy wearing a green and yellow shirt sitting among the flowers looking up at the light streaming into the cavern from a hole above.

"A-Asriel...?" Chara asked tears filling her eyes. Asriel looked up and spotted Chara immediately and tears started to fill his eyes and run down his cheeks. Chara ran over and tackled him to the ground in a hug.

"I-I thought you w-were dead..." Asriel whispered hugging her tightly.

"I th-thought so too... I m-missed you A-Asriel..." Chara said as she nuzzled Asriel's shoulder. I smiled warmly at the two of them. After a few minutes they both stood up wiping their tears away.

"You guys are adorable together, I ship it!" I giggled. They both blushed and we headed out of the ruins towards Snowdin town.
