Chapter 14

Everyone froze. They only had a few seconds to draw their wands when suddenly, spells were sent everywhere.

"Protego!" Remus and Tonks cried at the same time, aiming their wands at a Death Eater. Out of the corner of Remus's eye, he saw Harry, Ron and Hermione Disapparating.

Spells flew in every direction. Remus was separated from Tonks and fought alone. He seemed to be targeted more than anyone else, most likely because they knew he was a werewolf, a 'half-breed'.

The tent was now ablaze, Death Eaters seemed to be retreating a bit. But they still fought. Many people disappeared, not want to chance death any longer.

"He's not here!" one of them screamed. "Potter's not here!"

A few last Curses sent flying before, they simply disappeared.

The fire was tended to and extinguished by those who remained. Remus limped over to Bill who was on the floor.

"Bill. Are you alright? Where's Fleur?" he panted, helping Bill stand.

"M' fine. I told Fleur to go. I know where. We had a feeling this might happen and we made a plan." Bill answered. "Are you ok? Where's Tonks?"

Remus gasped, he'd forgotten about her.

"I don't know." Remus said quietly. "I'll see you later. I have I go. Stay safe."

"You too." Bill replied, shaking his hand before going off to find Arthur. Remus scanned the area looking for Tonks but he couldn't find her. Remus spotted Molly across the Hall and started towards her.

"Molly have you s-" Remus began but stopped when he saw the blond hair beside her on the ground. Tonks was leaning against a broken table. Her face pale, and a large, dark red line that had thin red lines branching off of it on her stomach.

"What happened?" Remus cried, kneeling beside her.

"Got hit by the Diffindo spell. I'll be fine though. We'll both be fine." Tonks said, her voice a little weak. Remus knew who else she meant; their baby.

"That's good." Remus sighed, trying to sound happy.

"She seemed to be handling a lot more Death Eaters than the rest of us." Molly said, healing Tonks's wound.

"It's because of me. They know I'm a werewolf and that you're married to me. You'll be more if a target for being married to someone like me." Remus sighed angrily.

"I don't thi-" Tonks started

"It is. You're both in danger because of me. I was so stupid to make that mistake!" Remus growled

"How were you-"

"I married you. That was my mistake." Remus said coldly. "And now our child'll be infected and have to constantly run. Because of me."

"Remus! You ca-" Molly cried. "You are not to blame. And what's this I hear about a child?"

"I'm pregnant." Tonks said, not sounding excited at all.

"Aw con-" Molly started

"Molly. We need to get inside. In case they come back!" Arthur called

"I'd better go. Stay safe." Molly said, standing up. "And Remus, look after them, they need you." Remus nodded before helping Tonks up. He pulled her through the crowd. His grip on her arms was painful, but he didn't notice. As soon as he could, he Dissaparated. Tonks closed her eyes just before they did, glad they were going home. But they weren't......

"Remus, where are we?" Tonks asked, opening her eyes to darkness.

"We aren't going home." Remus said, his voice cold and brutal.
