Tonks stared at her dad. What did he mean he did something?

"W-what happened?" Tonks sniffed

"Well, when we were still young, not long after we left school, we found out she was pregnant. I can't remember when exactly, but she said she had to spent time at her cousins house for a month, family tradition. I didn't hear from her the whole time, I wasn't worried, I trusted her. But when I saw her again.....i-it, she looked horrible....."

Ted sat in his living-room, reading The Daily Prophet. Even more mysterious deaths and disappearances. Andromeda was due to return any day now. She still hasn't told her family about her and Ted or the baby yet, not even after two years of them being together, or her being two months pregnant....

As night fell, Ted settled down on the sofa for a muggle movie night. At around midnight, there was a loud knock at the door. Slowly standing up, wand in hand, Ted made his way to the door. Opening it, he saw a young women with long black hair standing, waiting in the rain.

"Dromeda?" Ted asked. She looked up at him, her face sad and bruised. Ted took her hand and guided her inside. In the light, he could see her lip was bleeding, as was her right eyebrow and her right eye was turning purple.

"Dromeda what happened!?" Ted exclaimed, gently touching her face. Flinching away, Andromeda sighed.

"They found out. Found out I was pregnant. Bella told them, told them all." Dromeda sniffed. They walked into the living room and sat down.

"What! Why?" Ted cried

"She said that if I didn't she would. I didn't believe her, we were sisters, but now, now I'm disowned." Andromeda sighed shaking her head. "My mum was so horrified she didn't even speak. Didn't stand up for me when dad slapped me, Narcissa and Regulus and my aunt and uncle were so angry they didn't respond. It was only when I was being shoved out the door did Sirius come. I told him to stay safe, and that I'll keep in touch as much as I can."

"Th-they disowned you? They can't do that!"

"They can and they did. Just because I'm having a child with you."

Ted held Dromeda close. Stroking her back comfortably, he felt her shake slightly, crying into his shoulder.

As the days went by, the injuries on Andromeda's face got better and had almost vanished. But Ted, started to become more shallow and avoided Andromeda as much as he could. But he couldn't avoid her forever.

"Ted what's wrong?" she asked one night, confronting him.

"Nothing why?" Ted replied quickly

"You've barley spoken to me since I got here. And you've been avoiding me, why?"

"Because you shouldn't be here. You should be at home with your family, but you aren't because your in a relationship with me. Family is meant to be forever, no matter what. And I got in the way." Ted replied coldly

"You don't get in the way. I chose you over them, like I should have done years ago." Andromeda said, her voice beginning to crack

"Well choose them again." Ted sighed. "Go to them. Say you ended it. You'll raise the child like a proper pureblood family would, and you'll speak of me again."

"No. No I'm not going to!" Dromeda cried

"Dromeda please. Just go. You and the child will be better off without me. You need you family, and I'm not it." Ted said sharply. Seeing the stubbornness in her eyes, Ted sighed. "Accio case."

A brown case flew into the room and straight into Ted's hands. "Bye Dromeda. Stay safe."

With one last kiss on her cheek, Ted left. Once outside, he Dissaparated, leaving Dromeda crying on the floor, hand over her stomach. That was the last she saw of Ted, for a while.....

"You just left her?" Tonks said in disbelief, gazing at her dad in wonder.

"Yes. I regretted it as soon as I left, but I couldn't go back so soon. Not after what I said." Ted sighed sadly. "Even though ours was less dramatic and easier, your mother and I both understand what it's like."

"But my situations different. He's never coming back." Tonks sniffed

"Dora, even though I haven't completely agreed with your marriage, I still want you to be happy. And when, not if, when Remus comes back, I'll accept it." Ted said. "But after I give him a good tongue lashing and possibly hitting him."

Tonks laughed. For the first time in days, she laughed. Her hair seemed to go a brighter shade as well.

"Now, what do you say you come outside for a nighttime walk, like we you used to do when you where sad?" Ted asked

Tonks nodded. She shooed her dad out of her room so she could shower and look presentable. While she was dressing after showering she noticed her hand seemed to subconsciously rub her stomach.

"We'll be a family again soon." Tonks whispered, her hushed voice filled with hope.

Running downstairs, Tonks saw her dad waiting for her. Taking his hand they went out the front door and into the dark night. It was dangerous, they both knew that, but it helped clear their minds and they could just......talk

Remus stormed down the street, not really looking at where he was going.

"How dare he. How dare he say that to me!" Remus thought bitterly

But he did have to admit that Harry had a point. But he couldn't return. Not till everything was fine. Not till the war was over.

Looking up to where his feet had taken him. Remus found himself at an old park his father took him to when he was younger, a whole lot younger, before he was bitten.

"It's barely changed." Remus whispered. It was very late at night, but the park never failed to calm him down. He sat on one of the black swings and swung himself and back and forth gently. The chains cracked eerily, but his wand was safely up his sleeve, ready for use.

He wasn't sure how long he'd been there, but he sure as heck felt better. Sighing, Remus rested his head in his hands. He'd messed things up, everything up.

He swore he'd look after Harry, he couldn't do that. He same wore he'd never break down again when he needed to be on guard, but he couldn't even do that. And before he knew it, tears were forming in his eyes.

"Can't even hold it together, pathetic." Remus thought bitterly.

The cold of the night started nipping at his face. Shivering, he set off down the road again. He needed somewhere to stay for the night, somewhere warm and safe. But nowhere was safe anymore. He knew of only one place to go, but ruled it out. Too dangerous, far too dangerous. But what did he have to loose?

Making sure he wasn't seen, he closed his eyes, and let the ground disappear out from underneath him.

Sorry that it's quick, short and crap. Sorry, and, the next chapter is just as short (possibly) but it's jumped ahead.

This story isn't /thankfully?/ going to be as long as 'Shine Bright Like A Wolfstar', but there is more adventure 'afterwards'. See you again very soon :)
