"What's eating you?" Charlie finally decided to ask. Jonathan basically dropped his spoon into the now empty bowl which he had eaten a sundae out of. Charlie huffed, "And don't lie."

"Just some stuff with my friends.... I don't want to talk about it."

"Alright, but talking usually helps."

"Trust me. In this case it doesn't," Jonathan looked away absentmindedly as Charlotte raised a eyebrow towards her younger brother.

"So...what's the deal with you and Evan, then?"

"Huh?" Jonathan's head snapped back in her direction quickly, sharp demeanor. She smirked, "You hear me. Explain some things to me. Why were you two staring at each other like Romeo and Juliet yesterday?"

"Wha...when did you...?" Jonathan blinked, blushing. Now that he thought of it, he did recall his door just closing at one point.

"Also, you were pretty melancholic the whole day yesterday, anyway."

"I was sick."

"What sickness exactly? You know, I was too busy unpacking stuff."

"I...I just felt bad. My stomach hurt and head was spinning around. Nausea."

"Have you not been eating properly while I'm gone? Tsk tsk Johnny," Charlie teased which cause Jonathan to narrow his eyes and look away.

"No, seriously. Are you and Evan a thing or no?"

Jonathan still stared down at the table, but his cheeks turned red again.

"Also, are you Juliet?"

"Oh my satan," Jonathan headbanged and Charlie burst out into giggles, making some other in the ice cream shop stare at the two weirdly for a brief moment.

"Ok, I'm sorry, Jon pls!"

"Fuck you," Jonathan mumbled into the wood and then raised his head up, then raising his hands to desperately fix his bangs.

"Yeah, you should get a haircut."

"You don't say?" Jonathan smirked slightly as Charlie smiled, glad that his brother was cheering up at least.

"Johnny boy!" A fakely happy callout diverted their attention. Charlie looked. And her eyes widened.

"...Damn, you've grown," she commented on the guy's appearance. The grey hooded guy she knew all too well from back in the day.

"Yup! And how are you doing?" Ethan smiled innocently. Jonathan tried to suppress a growl.

"Um...fine?" Charlie blinked. Ethan nodded along and then fetched something from his pocket.

"Looks like the secret's out huh, Delirious?" He placed a piece of paper near Jonathan, and Jonathan eyes widened.

"You did not just-"

"I did."

"What is he talking about?" Charlie asked, confused out of her mind.

"I'll see you around. Maybe for the last time next time," Ethan winked towards Jonathan and walked away.

Jonathan's eyes were still wide open as he just stared at the white piece of paper in front of him on the table.

"Jonathan Dennis, what the fuck was he talking about?" He heard his sister basically yell, probably causing the whole shop to look at their table again.

"...I can't do this right now..." Charlie heard her brother mumble. Her narrowed eyes lifted up slightly, but his face was still pissed, "Excuse me."
