Brian anxiously stared at his phone screen. Brock was already 7 minutes late. Maybe he didn't really want to hang with him anymore? Maybe he had something with Cody, actually.
No...that's low. Brock was way better than that.
Brian shook the thoughts out of his head furiously. Chilled, who was the cashier this day again, looked at him weirdly.
"Sorry," Brian mumbled as Brock was now 8 minutes late. "He'll be here, jeez. You're worrying over jack shit."
"I don't know...we haven't done anything in a while...maybe he grew tired of me."
"Dude, have you seen the way he always looks at you?" Chilled smirked and Brian blinked, confused.
Somebody barged in, "I'm sorry for being late, there was roadwork at Autumn street, I'm really sorry!"
Brian smiled and looked at Brock, relief washing over him, "It's alright dude, we....whoa." His jaw dropped open.
Brock was wearing a yellow-pink tank top, showing off his perfect muscled arms. His skinny jeans also didn't leave much for imagination. And he had the shoes on that Brian gave him for his 15th birthday, nice how they still fit.
"What?" Brock frowned.
"You look...riveting."
Brock blushed, "Shut up, I spent an hour deciding what to wear and then I ended up running late for the bus anyway, so that's how these jeans ended up." Brian snickered, "No, seriously...you're awesome."
Brock sighed and grabbed his wallet, as Chilled also thumbed up his clothing.

Jonathan cackled, "Oh my god, I've never done this good, ever!"
His sister let out a frustrated sigh, "And I've never done this bad."
The two were playing durak and Jonathan was on a win streak of 5 plays.
Charlotte checked the clock, "Well, it's about time we made dinner."
"'Kay," Jonathan picked up the cards and put the deck into the box it was in. The front door bell rang and he shouted, "Got it!" for his sister was already in the kitchen.
He heard a faint 'ok' but he didn't care.
Opening the door he found Evan's father on the other side. "Oh. Hello."
"Hello, Jonathan. Is my son with you?"
"Uh, no. Why?"
"I can't reach him on the phone and I don't know where he is."
"I'm sure he's fine..." Jonathan frowned. "One sec," he ran to the living room to retrieve his own phone. He walked back to the door whilst dialing Evan. Eric smiled at him patiently.
"...I'm not getting anything either." Jonathan blinked, dialing someone else.
"Y'ello?" David picked up almost instantly.
"Hey, uh...you know where Evan is?"
"He's with me. Why?"
"His dad was worried." Jonathan put the phone away from his ear, "He's with some others."
"Ah," Eric nodded. Jonathan blinked as David said something. "Eh? Oh, he wants you." Jonathan gave the phone to Eric.
"Hello."
"Dad, I'm fine, damn! One little fight with a gang and I'm suddenly in danger 24/7!" Evan pouted back from the other end.
"Well, it's kind of true...you never know."
