The next morning I woke up on the couch and forgot where I was for a second.

I stood up too quickly and had to sit back down. I think Josh heard me because he walked in.

"Good morning, Tyler." He said happily. "Good morning." I said with my eyes squinting because they were still adjusting to the light coming in through the window.

"So I had an idea of what we could do since we don't have school." He said. "What's that?" I asked curiously. "We can go birthday present shopping for Brendon." He said confidently. "Ah yes. Brendon Urie's birthday. Do you have any idea of what he might like?" I said looking at my phone to check what time it was...it read 6:54.

"Not sure. But I just texted Ryan to see what he things he might like. But until I know what he wants I have to get Ashley and Abigail up and walk them to school. Our parents left early. Some work thing. Do you want to come?" He asked. "Um yeah sure. But I don't have anything to change into. My front door is probably locked and no one is at home." I said. "I can try and find you something." He said with a smile. "Thanks Josh. Remind me later that I owe you. I said smiling back. Josh just laughed

"Do you want to take a shower or anything?" He asked. "I'm not saying that you need it but if you want to you can." He said his last sentence really quick. Probably because he didn't want me to think that I smell. But I knew what he meant and that Josh didn't mean to come across as rude and I just laughed. I took the offer anyway a because I wanted to make sure. "Okay. I'll leave the clothes out on my bed for when you get out and while you're in there I'll get my sisters ready." He said. "Okay. I won't take too long." I said.

When I got into the bathroom I had to call for Josh because I didn't know how to work his shower. Once he showed me how it worked I got it and took my shower

It only took me about 10 minutes and then I was out. I dried off and got dressed. Josh was still getting Abigail ready and Ashley was sitting at the island waiting.

"Tyler can you pour me some cereal please?" Ashley asked sweetly. "Yeah I can. Where do you guys keep it?" I asked her. "In the cabinet next to the sink." She responded.

I got a bowl and a spoon and set it down and poured Ashley some cereal. Seconds later Josh walked in. "Okay good you're eating. Now your turn Abbie." Josh said. "Tyler got my cereal, Josh." Ashley said.

Josh was getting a bowl for Abigail when we stopped to look at Ashley. "Did you say thank you?" He asked her. "Thank you, Tyler." She said quickly. "You're welcome, Ashley."

Josh  got Abigail's cereal prepared so she could eat. "Eat quickly girls. I have to get you to school and I don't want to to be late." He said. The girls hurried to eat and then got their shoes on and so did Josh and I.

Both Abigail and Ashley walked a little far ahead of us. "Don't cross the street until I catch up with you." Josh said loud enough for them to hear. "Thank you for getting Ashley's breakfast ready. It's really hard to get them up and ready for school when I'm by myself." He said. "No problem used to do it all of the time for my brother Jay and sister Madison when then we're still in elementary school." I said.

The walk to their school was short but the walk back seemed longer for some reason. But we got back soon enough "Tyler, if you don't mind I'm gonna get in the shower." He said. "Okay. I'll wait down here." I said. "Okay you can go in my room and charge your phone or watch tv if you want to or just do what you're doing." He said

I went upstairs to charge my phone and I just scrolled through Twitter and Instagram. And a while later Josh came out of the shower and he was still very wet.

"Did you forget your towel?" I asked. "No I put it in the hamper." He said. "But you're still...like...wet..." I said a little weirded out. "I don't know.  Do you find that weird?" He asked smirking. "Very." I said. "Give me a hug, Tyler." He said laughing. "NOT UNTIL YOU'RE COMPLETELY DRY." I said running past him and down the stairs.

I tried to run in to the kitchen but apparently there's a quicker way into the kitchen and he caught me and hugged me. And yes...he was still very wet from his shower. "This is the grossest thing that has ever happened. Ever." I said still in Josh's hug.

"To you maybe but I'm used to it." He said laughing and letting go so he could look at me. "How is that even possible?" I asked very surprised. "Well when I go downstairs in the basement to practice on my drums I get really sweaty. And I can't just stop right in the middle just to dry off." He said sitting down. "Okay. Now it's starting to make sense to me." I said. "I thought it would." He said

"and while we're on the topic if you drumming...how come I've never seen you play?" I asked. "I don't know really. I never thought about if you actually wanted to see or not. I can show you later if you want but..." as he started speaking again I cut him off.

"Oh no. What's the catch?" I said. "a couple of months ago you said you played piano." He said trying to hide a small smile. "Yeah...?" I said. "Well, Tyler, I want to hear you play." He said. "There it is. Okay. When my family gets home I'll run home and get my piano. Maybe. If I don't just run home and pretend this conversation never happened." I said with a cheesy smile. "Or when your family goes home I can go with you to make sure you don't 'forget' this conversation ever happened." He said smiling back.

"We'll see. But until my house isn't completely empty we can go birthday present shopping for our friend. Speaking of, did Ryan ever text you back?" I asked. "Um I don't think so but I'll check." He picked up his phone and looked to see if Ryan texted him. "Nope still nothing. I guess we'll have to just have to wait a little while longer." He said. "Do you even think he's awake right now?" I asked.

"Probably not. I mean it is 7:30 and it's a day that we don't have school so he most likely woke up for a second to go to the bathroom or something and then went back to sleep and won't be awake again until at least 12:00. Noon is the earliest he will wake up if he doesn't have school by the way." He said. "Geez. I guess you really do learn something new everyday." I said laughing.

"Yeah. One time I went over to his house in seventh grade and I woke up a couple hours before him and I was stuck eating breakfast with his parents by myself." He said. By the end of Josh's story I was laughing so hard my eyes were starting to water. "So you find my suffering amusing do you?" He said. "I just might. One day I'll tell you some embarrassing stories. But sadly today is not that day." I said smiling. "I hope you know, Tyler, that I remember everything. "Yeah. I noticed." I said.
