The High School Experience

When I got them no one was home yet. When I set set down my backpack I went to the kitchen to try to find something to eat. Minuets late Maddy came home.

"Hey Ty, how was your day?" She said. "It was alright. I hope you don't mind that I have a few friends coming over soon." I say. "Okay. I don't mind. Which friends? Is it Josh? DID YOU TELL HIM??!" She said. "Oh geez. No!! It's my friends Jenna and Debby. They're coming over to talk about what happened. I say. "Well I'm going to take a shower and maybe start my homework. Probably not but we'll see." She said heading upstairs. "Okay. They'll be here around 4:30." I said.

A little while after Maddy got out of the shower, there was a knock on the door. "Who is it?" I said walking closer to door. "It's Debby and Jenna." Debby said. I unlocked and opened the door. "Did you eat yet? Because we told you to the wait for us and I'm really hungry." Jenna said. "No Jenna, I didn't eat yet. I thought we could order a pizza." I said. "Okay good." Jenna said. "By the way, Jenna, Debby this is Madison, My little sister." I say point to both Debby and Jenna.

"Hey, so why don't we get down to business?" Debby says. "Ah yes, ordering pizza." Jenna says while heading to my home phone. "No, Jenna, talking about what happened to Tyler, last night?" Debby said. "This morning." I said. "Well, what about we can do the pizza first. And while we wait we can start talking?" Maddy said. "Yeah that's what I was thinking." I said. "Yeah Debby, that's what we're doing." Jenna said.

After I got off the phone with the pizza place I suggested we go down stairs. When we got to the basement we all sat on one of the multiple beanbags and computer chairs my family has. "Okay. Where should we start?" Jenna said. "Well how about we start with how you feel about it, Tyler?" Maddy said. "Okay, where should I start?" I said. "From the very beginning." I hear Jenna say.

"Alright. When I started school with you guys, I obviously didn't know anybody. But when i went to the principles office,Mr. Westley told me that another freshman student would be helping me around the school. Them soon after he brung in Josh, and in an instant I knew that there was something about him, but I didn't know what. Then I soon found out how sweet and caring he is. And then we got closer and spent more time together. And before I knew it I knew what was there. And I have a feeling that this isn't going anywhere anytime soon. And then is morning, that happened (I felt like I didn't need to say it because everyone already knew) and now that it did I don't want to look at him differently. I don't know if I want to tell him anytime soon, or even ever because I don't want to ruin what we already have. Because when I think of a world without him, it hurts. It's actually hurts me." I say. Hearing myself say this made me start to tear up so Maddy came over a put her arm around me.
"Tyler, if you were to tell Josh what's been happening, I don't think he would just up and leave you high and dry." Debby said. "Why do you think that?" I say. "Because Tyler, Josh isn't the type of person to run away from someone." Debby said. "So do you guys think I should tell him?" I say.

Over at the Dun House
"Jordan, I think I have a problem. Well I don't have a problem, but I think there is a problem." I said. "What's wrong?" Jordan says. "It's Tyler. He was acting differently today." I say. "What do you mean 'acting differently'?" Jordan asks. "I mean he wasn't giving me any eye contact like he always does, and he didn't talk to me as much like normal." I said.

"Josh, he probably just need some space. Why are you worrying about it so much?" Jordan says. I place my hand on the kitchen counter and look at my shoes. "Hmm? Josh what's going on? Why are you so worried?" Jordan asks again. "Because Jordan, What if someone told Tyler that I like him?" I said

Back at the Joseph House:
"I think you should tell him, we probably all do. But we're not going to force you to. And if you want to tell him, we're not going to rush you into doing it anytime soon. Take your time and just think about it for right now. Okay?" Jenna said. "Okay. I will." I said.

Just then we hear the doorbell rang and Jenna dashed all the way up the stairs and we all followed her, but we didn't run. When the rest of us got upstairs Jenna was already paying the pizza delivery guy and taking the pizza. "Don't worry, you don't have to pay me back. Where should I set this down? Jenna said. "Just put it on the counter." I said. "I'll grab the plates." Maddy said. "Geez Jenna, how do you eat so much but gain no weight ever?" Debby said. "I'm a cheerleader and a swimmer, Debs. You know this. I'm always working out during the season." Jenna said. "Oh right." Debby said. "Jenna, you where a cheerleader?" I asked. "Yep. Have been ever since We were in 6th grade. Why" Jenna asked. "So is Maddy. Anyways, do you guys want to head into the living room and watch a movie?" I asked. "Yes. Yes we do." Maddy said.

Back at the Dun House:
"You like Tyler?" Jordan said. "Yeah. But I think he like Jenna or something." I said. "Geez Josh. Go talk to him. Tell him how you feel. Open up to him. Stop being a baby and talk to him." Jordan said. "Sometimes I wonder why I'm so nice to you." I said. "Shut up and go over to his house." Jordan said while he was pushing me out the front door. "Okay okay. I will. I'll be back soon." I said. "No you won't but okay." He said. So I walked over to Tyler's house.

At the Joseph House:
A little while after the movie started we heard the doorbell ring again. "I'll get it." I said.

I walked over and when I opened the door is was none other than Josh. "Hey, Tyler, can we talk?" He asked. "Um yeah. I kinda need to talk you too, Josh." I said. "Okay. Alright." He said. "Can you guys give us some privacy please?" I asked Jenna, Maddy, and Debby. "We're going. But if we accidentally hear everything you two say, would you be mad?" Jenna said. "Um, no?" I said a little confused. "Okay good." Jenna said. "I know the perfect place." I heard Maddy say as they walked up the stairs.

"Okay, now that we're alone..." I cut Josh off before we could finish. "Ireallylikeyoujoshihavreversinceifirstmetyouandikindadidntknowhowtotellyouandireallydontwanttpruin..."then before I knew it I was cut off. I was cut off from a kiss.

When we broke away my eyes were probably about as big as my whole head. "Tyler, I like you too. I just didn't know how to find the right words to tell you." When he said that all I could do is hug him. It was probably the best hug I've ever given anyone ever.

Then, we heard the girls coming down the stairs. Jenna was practically screaming, Maddy's chin was basically on the floor, and Debby was smiling from ear to ear. "I didn't expect that to happen that fast. But in glad it did." Debby said.
