Bad versus Bad

Chapter Nine

Havyn's P.O.V.

Here I am sitting with Kai Prince in the middle of nowhere, hiding away from the cops that we can both hear off in the distance still trying to pick up anyone they can find. Luckily, Kai and myself left the scene before getting caught. I knew Kai got into some dip shit trouble, but I didn't expect to see him out on the tracks tonight, especially not being announced as a seven time straight winner. I think back to what Kai told Demetrius about how he was actually happy losing to me. I smile like a complete idiot in the faint moonlight. 

"Why are you smiling?" Kai asks, leaning on the handles of his gorgeous bike. 

"Because I kicked your ass tonight," I say, smirking. 

"I let you win," he says, chuckling softly.

"Take that back," I say, pointing my finger at him.

"No way," he shakes his head.

I kick my kickstand down and jump off of my bike, marching straight towards his bike. I grab a hold of the collar of his shirt and snatch him off. Of course I didn't think about how he much taller he is than me, so now here I am with Kai towering over my body. A smirk dances on his lips. I glance up into his chocolate eyes, admiring how beautiful they are. His jaw is so sharp, it looks as if God carved it perfectly just for him. The breeze blows, whipping both our hair around slightly. His hair is even messier than before, but it pleases his appearance. 

Blue and red flashing lights catches my attention quickly. Kai notices just as quickly as I do. We both push our bikes into the woods, staying hidden with them. When the cop cars go flying by, I throw my head back laughing, loving the adrenaline coursing through my veins. I try to step closer to the edge of the woods to peak my head out, but I end up tripping over a stump. Kai reaches out just in time to catch me, pulling me back into his chest. Our faces are only inches apart. Without hesitation, our lips smash into each other's. Kai's hands grip my waist, pulling me closer to him. I tangle my fingers into hair, deepening the kiss. 

Kai pushes my back to a large oak tree, never breaking the kiss. From there things only start to escalate and not once do I want to stop. There is some kind of undeniable connection between the two us that I am sure neither of us is going to ever admit out loud. I guess it is predictable that we are here in this predicament, and by predicament I mean having a steamy make out session in the woods while hiding from the police. When Kai's lips travel down to my neck, stopping right underneath my ear to suck tenderly, a small moan escapes my lips. That is definitely my weak spot. Kai smiles onto my neck, sucking at the same spot again. Just as I wrap my hands underneath his shirt, ready to tear it off, my phone starts ringing. 

"Don't answer it," Kai mumbles, still planting kisses onto my neck.

I don't the first three times it rings, but after the fourth I finally cave. 

"Hello?" I answer the phone, breathing rather loudly.

Kai presses his body up against mine from behind, pulling my hair to the side, and kisses my collarbone gently. When he grazes his teeth over it, I gasp. He chuckles, his chest rising up and down on my back. 

"Havyn?" Sarah questions on the other end of the phone. "Is everything okay? You sound like you have been running a marathon. Wait, why are you gasping? Oh my god - Finn and Jaxon are looking everywhere for Kai, is he with you? Did you two get arrested?"

"We are kind of busy right now," I mumble.

"We are not kind of busy," Kai corrects, making sure Sarah can hear him. "We are busy. Now all of you should stop worrying about the two of us, because we most certainly know how to take care for ourselves. Don't forget our reputations."

"Havyn Holloway," Sarah commands. "Are you and Kai Prince doing what I think you are doing? You guys are, aren't you? I knew it was only a matter of time."

"We all did!" Finn shouts through the phone. 

"Am I on speaker?" I ask.

"Maybe," Sarah answers. 

"The sexual tension between you two has been there since the first day," Finn says, obviously desperately wanting to get his two cents in. "I literally have been counting down the days before you two tore each other's clothes off. Damn, you two really are too stubborn for your own good."

"Shut the fuck up," Kai snaps through the phone.

"Nah man," Finn chuckles. "You aren't here to kick my ass, so I can say what I want."

"I can always change that," Kai says.

"Where are you guys?" I ask, hoping Sarah answers.

"All five of us are heading back to your house," Sarah responds thankfully. "See you two, um whenever you finish whatever you are in the middle of. Oh god, you two aren't like doing anything right now, right?"

"Leave the bad ass lovebirds alone," Finn says.

"You shut up!" Sarah snaps. "Kai, I really hate you friend."

"Now who has the sexual tension building up," I mumble, earning a chuckle from Kai. 

"I am going to seriously kill you when you get home," Sarah threatens. 

"Yeah, yeah, yeah," I roll my eyes.

I end the call, shaking my head and laughing softly. Kai is leaning against the tree I was pressed against only seconds ago with his arms crossed over his chest, smiling. I raise my eyebrows curiously at him. 

"And what is so funny you ass hole?" I ask. 

"Oh nothing," Kai shakes his head, still smiling.

"Whatever," I shrug. "I will race you back to my house."

"We aren't finished with what we started," he says, instantly in front of me, cupping my face. His mouth is only inches away from mine again. I literally want to throw myself on to Kai, and drink him all in. 

"Rain check?" 

"Deal," he nods. 

"When Monday rolls around, no lovey dovey shit in front of anyone, got it?" I ask, putting my hands on my hips. "What is happening right now doesn't change a damn thing about how we feel. We are at each other's disposal. This is strictly for fun."

"Of course," he says, smirking devilishly. "We have reputations to uphold."
