Havyn's P.O.V.

Ten years later...

So much has happened throughout my twenty-eight years of life. Some say they wish they could turn back the clock and start over again. I wouldn't trade a day of my life for all of the money in the world. I have a beautiful home, the very same I grew up in, a beautiful family, and a perfect job. Two years after Everett and Everly were born, Kai proposed. We got married in the fall, where we moved back into my family home in the spring. Five years after that, I graduated medical school, where I now work at Grey Hospital alongside Kai's parents. Kai is a teen counselor, helping troubled kids in our city in any way that he possibly can. Our little Everett and Everly are not so little anymore, being that they are ten now and are in the fourth grade now. A few months ago, I had our third child, another little girl who we named, Evangeline, after my Mother. Our life has been nothing short of happy.

"Earth to Havyn," Kai calls out, waving his hand in front of my face. He chuckles when I shake my head, clearing my thoughts. "Are you even listening to a thing I am saying? I have been going on and on about the party."

"Of course I have been listening," I say, smirking. He makes a face. "Okay, okay. I lost you after drinks. My mind is just all over the place today with how busy we have been. I am sorry for losing focus. What is it that you were saying?"

The doorbell rings.

"I got it!" Everly yells, running down the stairs.

"No!" Everett shouts after her. "I told you I was answering the door!"

Kai and I chuckle.

"Aunt Sarah!" Everly shouts with joy. "Mom and Daddy are in the living room."

Sarah walks into the room with Finn by her side, who is carrying their baby's carrier and diaper bag. They have a daughter now, Annemarie. I hear their son, Michael, laughing with my own children, who is only a year younger. Sarah found out she was pregnant the week after I left the hospital with the twins. I hug my best friend and side kick since day one. Sarah still finished college, where she is a surgical nurse on my wing. She assists me on all surgeries. Finn works with Kai. They are partners. The door bell rings again. Chris walks into the room with his wife, Dana, who he met in college. They don't have kids yet, neither ready. Matt follows close behind, a bottle of wine in hand. Jaxon comes in close behind his brother, his three year old son, Chase, holding his hand. Chase's mother wanted nothing to do with her soon, leaving Jaxon fully responsible.

"I can't believe we have all made it," Kai sighs, looking around at all of us. "We all started off in high school, all coming together as best friends and look at us now stronger then ever. I am proud to call you guys my family. I love you guys."

"We love you," all of our friends say in unison.

Kai pulls me to him, kissing the top of my head.

"I want to say a special thank you to my wife," Kai starts. Everyone claps. "Without you I wouldn't be the man I am today. We started off two troubled kids in love, becoming two young adults barely out of high school with twins, then getting married, finishing school together, having another beautiful child. We have done amazing things together in this life, and I am glad that you are the one that has been by my side. I wouldn't trade a day with you. I love you, Havyn Adele Prince, until the end of time."

"I love you," I smile, pressing a kiss to his lips.

The universe was in my hands then, and it still is today.
