Chapter 1: Promise

"Hey Hase, Let's go somewhere I really wanna go somewhere" Liliana Rose says with the most boring expression ever. "Where do you want to go" Hase says laughing. "Manhattan or California or Republica Dominicana." " Do you have the money for that?" Hase says sarcastically. Liliana pouts. "Someone does". "I promise you we'll get through school and we'll go everywhere okay." Hase hugs her in comfort and starts squeezing the life out of her. Liliana Laughs "OKAY OKAY I GET IT". They both smile at each other and watch Star vs the forces of evil. "Did she put up new subs?" Hase asks with a mouth full of popcorn. "Let's see I haven't checked in a while." Liliana whips out her phone and scrolls through Facebook and taps on a post.

"She says if you make a mistake multiple times it's a choice." Liliana rolls her eyes and lays her phone down. "Honestly I don't care anymore she can be a hoe if she wants." She takes a piece of popcorn.

"She didn't even realize how she's wrong in all of this."

"Seriously" Liliana looks at the time on the T.V. "You have to leave soon. It's almost six."

"Yeah ill come over tomorrow Kay" Hase says as he stands up.

"Promise" Liliana says looking up at him

"Promise" Hase says smiling at her.

Hase grabs his things heads downstairs and waits for Liliana. She runs downstairs jumps and hugs Hase. "Get home safe okay".

"I will" Hase says with a smile. He leaves and starts walking. Once he was out of sight his expression changed from happy to emotionless. "I need to keep her safe; Liliana is my priority I can't let her get hurt. I need her here with me. And she thinks the same". 

  Hase looks up at the sky as it sets itself up to rest. "There Is so much in this world to explore. Love..." a couple walks past Hase but his mind continues off into to the sky. "Hate... feelings that act as a rollercoaster. These are what defines us as humans what makes our lives beautiful and meaningful. To never experience these things what are you? If you lose someone, at an age where death has not yet been defined for you. What... defines you? Ignorance is bliss they say and it is true. As children we are merely the embodiment of ignorance. This word is portrayed as bad but in the sense, more to say in the perspective of an adult towards a child he is too young to understand." He walks across Atlantic avenue, the lights from the cars on the street blend with the world he has captured himself in as he walked. " A world where your dreams come true almost feels like a parallel dimension that can't be opened to. In this place I call home. I'm not human, I'm not an animal. I live outside of my own being listening,watching... caring. I go on thinking my worthless life means nothing if I die now would it matter? Yes not only to the people I love and who love me but to the people I will meet the animals I will love in the future. I show people I trust my heart as black as coal. Within it unimaginable love to indicate i am human too that has only been tapped into twice. Can you call my heart broken? Questions always flood my head as I walk on this path alone. Not knowing how to portray how I feel to anyone. For a being that's not human can not be understood by humans. Or am I crazy and this migranes are actually me going mad and in this effect i'll lose everyone I... " A car drives by Hase quickly just making the yellow light. He snaps out of his daydream and looks around the quiet neighborhood. He reaches his house and walks inside.   

He's greeted to empty hellos and darkness. Like every day when he walks in this house. He changes and lays in bed and dreams of a world where she is safe; where everyone is safe. A bright light shines through his eyes but Hase knows the sun was setting at this time. Why does light break through my eyes? He thinks to himself.
