Chapter 2: Resonance

Hase walks into his 3rd period class and sits down in his seat and sighs. Why can't it be Friday already I feel really confident ill learn this new technique. Come to think of it I haven't heard from that voice in a long time.

"Okay now how did the Mongols rule over-"Two gunshots fired from downstairs. And like a bullet Hase got up and ran to the door. "Where are you going?" Mr. Neo says with a strong but scared voice as he grabs Hase. Hase turns around. "Sorry" Hase punches Mr. Neo in the stomach and he falls to the ground. "I need all of you to stay here okay don't leave until it's clear." Hase runs down the hall and stops at a classroom he looks through and meets eyes with an old friend. He says nothing but his eyes say a lot. Her eyes are traumatized it was hard to tell if she was reading his eyes or too scared to even think. Two more gunshots fire downstairs. He refocuses begins to run down the hall and down the steps.

"Hey!" Hase yells down the hall to a student holding a Glock 19. He turns around and is armed with an AK-47 another Glock 19 strapped to his belt and a knife as well. He looked like a senior tall with dirty blond hair and looked like he is somewhat strong without all his guns. "Ooo a Hero?" He grins a psychotic evil grin at Hase. Hase stares at him. His eyes filled with controlled rage then looks at his victims. "You will not get out of here alive do you hear me!" The student laughs crazily as if he heard the funniest joke ever. "The name's Ben. Try it boy" He points the Glock at Hase and shoots.

Hase dodged it. His eyes were still locked on Ben. "What! This can't be real how did you no...no no no no no" Ben fires multiple shots at Hase. Hase dodges all of them keeping his eyes locked on Ben. "Ben was it. Your end is here you will not harm this school or any-"a gunshot fires from behind Hase and he falls to the floor. As he blacks out, Hase looks behind him at his killer. Five men wearing suits laced with purple stand smirking at his soul slowly leaving his body. He looks ahead and sees Ben's smile across his face.

Visions of Liliana dying played in the darkness of Hase's death dream. Fire set to the school. A world driven to Hell. Hase realized his weakness and he had to end it. He couldn't let this happen. "Will you sacrifice to stop Chaos?" a deep descending voice says from among the dark. "If I must yes, I need to protect her...everyone." "Very well" the voice chuckles "Journey this path full heartedly" he says and Hase awakes surrounded by bodies of the first victims. Gunshots fire off towards the Football field. Hase stands up and uses the wind to pull the bullet out of his back. It hurt but what Hase sacrificed hurt him more than any physical wound. Hase grabs a white blanket and black pant and heads to the roof.

Outside everyone runs and hurdles each other in terror as gunshots spray from Ben's AK. The police were being stopped by men in suits laced with purple. Ben laughing as bodies drop one by one. Liliana falls to the ground and twisted her ankle. "Someone help me please!" A student kicked her in the face running for dear life. Liliana shed a stream of blood from her head. She looked on as bodies fall next to her. Her eyes lost in what was happening around her Ben walks up to her with a sinister smile. He aims his pistol in between her eyes. Everyone watches from the streets in silence as Ben puts his finger to the trigger. Liliana looks at him eyes filled with tears "Please I don't want-" Liliana looks behind Ben and everyone's attention was turned to the roof of the school. A man in a white silky coat stood watching the scene unfold. The end of his cape blew in the wind. His eyes under the hood of his cape was as dark as night.

Everyone stared as the man stood on the roof in silence. "If you're going to commit suicide might as well let me kill you now" Ben yells out with a smile. The man stayed quiet. Three more men in in armored capes appeared across from the man on the roof and stood on the bleachers. They wore blue, red, and green capes with weapons attached to them and just like the man on the school roof they're eyes were hidden under their hoods. "Are they your friends? Don't worry theirs bullets for all of you" Ben Laughs as Hase's killers emerge from the school and smile with Ben holding AK-47s and Glocks. Liliana watches eyes still filled with tears. The wind picks up in the silence of the yard and the trees dance with it.

The man in the white hood starts singing Numb by Linkin Park."Do do do do do do, do do do do do do." The song plays throughout the field as if the wind made music. "What the hell is going on" Ben says as he looks around the field listening to the song play. "Tired of being what you want me to be" The white hooded man sings as he looks at the crowd. "Feeling so faithless lost under the surface" He turns back to Ben. "Don't know what you're expecting of me put under the pressure of walking me in your shoes". "Caught in the under toe just caught in the under toe" the three men say all together. "Every step that I take is another mistake to youuu" The white man sings again. "Caught in the under toe just caught in the under toe" the three hooded men say again. The white hooded man disappears from the roof and reappears gutting Ben who was almost 30 yards away. "IVE BECOME SO NUMB I CAN'T FEEL YOU THERE" He screams. Everyone watched stunned as well as Liliana still hurt on the ground.

Ben falls to the floor clenching his stomach. The men in suits point their AKs at the white hooded man "Who the hell are you!" "BECOME SO TIRED SO MUCH MORE AWARE" They shoot but the white hooded man jumped and spin kicked their guns out of their hands. "IM BECOMING THIS ALL I WANT TO DO" "Bastard!" "IS BE MORE LIKE ME AND BE LESS LIKE YOU" One of the men run and tries to punch the white hooded man. He bobs his head and grabs his arm and knees him in the stomach. The three others watched and did not move a single muscle. "Can't you see that you're smothering me" his voice smoothens as he looks at the crowd in a quick glance. Two more men go for a swing and the white hooded man dodges their hits and counter attacks with two powerful punches to the gut of the first and one to the second that sent him flying across the field into the field goal. "Holding too tightly". "Shut up!" another man goes and tries to scissor kick the white hooded man. He ducks and backs away as the man continues to miss his swings. "afraid to lose control". He blocks one of his swings and delivers a kick of his own. "Cause everything that you thought I would be Is falling apart right in front of you." The three other men repeat their chorus as the last man still standing stands in fear. "Please don't do this we're just following orders." "By whom" The man's voice deepens as he speaks with the man in the suit. Liliana and everyone in the crowd shocked at the scene they just saw. "I can't say he'll kill me" he says sweating through his suit. "His power is unbelievable. Not even what you just show us can match him." "Are they like him too" Liliana looks up to the bleachers and the three men are gone. "Come with us wind user" the red hooded man says as the three men stand before the white hooded man and like just like the white hooded man's voice it descended into a really low base.

"Why should I come with you?" "You've met the voice I assume. You must come with us." The white hooded man looks at Liliana Rose and walks up to her. He picks her up and carries her to the crowd. Sam her girl best friend ran to her and sat by her side. "Take care of her" he says and walks back to the three men. "I'll come with you". The red hooded man nods his head and throws fire from his hands. At the same time the blue hooded man threw water and the green hooded man took the gravel from the ground it launched it. Together it made a portal and they all stepped in. The white hooded man looks back at Liliana as she sheds a tear. Deep down she knew he was gone. Not knowing if he'll come back.
