The Wind User

Chapter 4: The ones unknown

 

The portal reopens and the three hooded men step out along with the white hooded man. They emerge in a thick forest the trees were dead and fog covered the grounds. The white hooded man looks around as the three men mark the ground. "Stand here" the green hooded man says as he marks the ground next to him with the tip of his boot

"What are we doing here and who are you really?"

"Introductions will be made back at the Coop. for now call us by our colors" The red says as they all line up on their marked positions. The three men stretch and crack their bones. White watches them and looks deep into the forest.

"Ready" they all look at him.

"Yeah But ready for-"the marks on the ground light up and the trees began to sway in slow-motion.

"Ready. Go!" The three men boost forward at high speed and the white hooded man looks down at his symbol and he boosts forward.

"Hey! Use the trees!" Blue says as the three began to jump from tree to tree. White jumps on a branch and it cracks and breaks off.

"You're supposed to be lighter than all of us. Come on wind user haha" Red says jumping from tree to tree. White looks at the trees and starts taking lighter leaps. He catches up to the other three and they race through the forest.

"Here comes the best part." Red opens a portal of fire and speeds through it disappearing from the forest. Green made a portal of vines and leaps through it as well.

"Can you teleport?" Blue asks as he leaps with the white hooded man. White shakes his head. "Use the wind identify your destination you don't know the Coop so think of me. You use a lot of energy, in time it'll get easier." He throws a pool of water that creates a portal. "See ya" he disappears as the wind user keeps moving at high speeds through the forest. He feels the wind and tries to throw a portal. He keeps on trying until the sound of a roaring waterfall emerged from the silence of the forest. White looks ahead to see an immense pit that stretched to the size of 16 football fields. In panic White tries desperately to create a portal. The edge of the massive crater came closer and closer. White runs out of trees and soars over into the abyss. He free falls into the darkness. White tries one more time to create a portal. He feels the wind run down his arm. He aims and shoots a pulse of wind that creates a portal. He falls through and skits his shoes on a marble floor than fully stops and regains his balance. He looks up to Red, White and Green standing in front of him.

"I thought it would've been worse." Green says looking at Red.

"Good job I thought we'd have to save your ass. Don't worry we wouldn't have let you fall. Make yourself at home welcome to the Coop. Oh and your cleaning those skit marks." White looks around the Coop was decorated with the colors of Green, Red and a Blue flag. A white flag was raised in the center of all of them. The walls looked like the inside bark of a tree. A wide table sat in the center of the room and pedestals with a view of the forest reigned over the forest.

"That crater you saw is this building." Green says. "People who enter the forest don't come near hear because of it." Red says looking out at the view of the forest.

"It's a miracle if they even make it to the crater. The forest is sealed with elemental magic by the tree." Blue says looking at White.

"Now it's time to unveil who the men under the hoods are." Red says stepping down from the platform of the pedestals.

The three men line up in a row and stand before White. "I'll go first. Seems like the most suitable start." Green says reaching for his hood. He pulls it down and smiles at white. The name's Manny nice to meet ya." Manny had slick hair that had a lot of gel in it. He looked Cuban and had a nice body build. He had bright green eyes and looked like every Dominican girl's dream boy. Even though his name was far from being Dominican. "I'm 14 and I ran away from home 1 year ago. I loved plants and being barefoot on the ground. My parents fought a lot so being outside in a tree was my home. I played with the Animals that ran into my yard back in San Juan. One night my dad threatened my mom and sister that same night the voice spoke to me and gave me my powers. He hit my sister with a beer bottle and threatened my mom with a knife. My powers kicked in and let's just say he won't like trees for a while. Red and Blue found me when I was stopping a man from raping a woman. I'm very protective but when the time comes I can be a mean machine just like my elemental weapon."
