Chapter five: Sabaody Archipelogo

Scarlet POV

The next day, I thought about what to do for now on. I don't want to go back to my father. How could he make that boat sink? That boy didn't do anything wrong! I grit my teeth as I thought about it. A knock on the door catches my attention as a bad feeling was evident from my stomach. Dadan opens the door as the man there speaks.

" Excuse me. We have reasons to think that this Tenryubito's  daughter is here" the man, who I think is a Marine says.

" A Tenryubito...? I don't know what your talking about" Dadan looked to a man with red hair.... It's my father!

" Scarlet!" He came over to me probably intending to grabb me and bring me back. I unconsciously stepped back.

" Father..." I said anxiously as I took another step back.

" What do you want?" I looked behind me to see that Gil had come out into the living room and was glaring at my father.

" I want to take my daughter home and it has nothing to do with you servant. I would like for you to stay away from her" my father smiled but it looked very fake.

" No...!" Gil glared as my father took out a gun. My eyes widen as I step in front of Gil.

" Father...! I'll go with you! Just let Gil go free! Please!" I pleaded.

" ..Scarlet... Of course, if it's an request from you" he said with another fake smile.

" Wait Scarlet...! I'm coming with you!" Gil stopped me.

" But-" I said as my father intervenes.

" You may board with us" my father's words confused me. Why would he do that? Did he do it for me? Maybe I'm overthinking it? I calmed down as we boarded the ship again.

A few days later

" Miss. There is a huge storm and we will have to stop at Sabaody Archipelogo" one of the service people said.

" Okay, you are dismissed" I answered as I noticed Gil's stare.

" So...We are stopping at Sabaody Archipelogo?" Asked Gil.

" Yup! We should buy some souvenirs too" I smiled as he replied.

" Yeah we should" Gil said as the door opened.
Then one of the servants came and asked Gil to come with him.

" I'm coming too!" I said.

" I'm sorry miss, but only Gilbert"

" Hmph! Fine! " I answered as they left quickly with Gil's worried eyes looking behind him at me. I went out of my room and followed them. They went to a deserted area of Sabaody Archipelago as a gun was pointed at Gil. It was.... my father.

" What are you doing...?!" Asked Gil.

" I'm sorry, you were an outstanding servant but I cannot allow you to be with my daughter. She has taking too much of a liking to you so you must not live" his finger went to the trigger. I ran in front of Gil as he shot the gun. Pushing Gil out of the way, the bullet pierced my arm.

" Scarlet...! Someone, restrain her!" My father ordered as hands grab my away from Gil.

" No..! Father! Yousaid you would let him be free!" I yelled.

" Yes. I will let him be free. In hell!" He pulled the trigger as Gil fell to the ground. My father. He...Killed him...He... he killed Gil!

" No...! No..! Gil..! " I screamed. Tears flowed freely down my face, more than ever. I froze as my blood shot out from my wound. It turned into a spike and flew towards my father. My wide eyes watched as he was stabbed. It went over to the others so quickly I could barely see it. SPLAT. Heads fell onto the now bloodied ground. Is this my power...? From the devil fruit...? Why...? Why did it only help me now? Why not before? Before Gil died!

" Why...? Why...? Why? Why...?!!" I screamed as more tears streamed down my face. I sat there in the blood as my tears dry. No... I have to leave... before the Marines get here... leave... I dragged myself up and ran. I didn't even look at the corpse of my best and only friend. Reaching a bar, I fell over immediately with a THUMP.

Rayleigh POV

I heard a THUMP from the front. Why don't they just come in? This is a bar you know. I went to the door and opened it. Though I was used to it, it was still a horrible scene to behold. There was a little girl with red hair. There was blood all over her and dried tears on her cheeks.

" Shakky... Come here..." I yelled as Shakky came over. She gasps as she sees the girl.

" ...What happened...?" She asked.

" I don't know but we should help her. Do you have a spare bed?" I asked.

" Yes, I do. Bring her in" she said. I did it without delay.

Scarlet POV

I woke up in a warm bed. The bed was white and there was a window right next to the bed. My arm was bandaged up and my clothes were changed. What happened before flooded my already tired mind. No.... why did Gil have to die...?

" Are you feeling any better?" I looked to a woman who just came in. I nodded as another man came in.

" I'm Shakky and this is Rayleigh" the woman introduced.

" ....I'm..... Scarlet..." I finally replied.

" Nice to meet you Scarlet. Would you mind....telling us what happened..?" Shakky asked.

" I-..... Can I tell you something first?" They nod." I'm... actually.... I'm a... Tenryubito...." I look away before looking back when I hear nothing. They looked shocked before they softened up and nodded for me to continue. "My best friend....Gilbert.... was a secant.... and my father didn't want him around me so... he.... k-killed h-him...." I clenched my fists.

" I'm sorry....for making you remember that..." Shakky apologizes.

" It's okay. I .... k-killed... my f-fathe in b-blind r-rage t-too...so....I'm not innocent either" I said looking down. There was no reply so I decided to ask them something. " Where is my cloak?" I asked.

" Here... We also cleaned it for you" said Rayleigh and handed me my cloak. I clenched my teeth before streams of tears flow down my face.

"....Gil... Gil..!" I cried almost uncontrollably.

" Yoh don't have anywhere to go, do you?" He asked softly.

" No.... " I sniffed as I dried my tears." I don't..." I answered.

" How about... you stay with us?" He asked.

" ....No...I'll.... I'll just be a burden so.... and I don't think Shakky will-" I said as the person in question interrupted.

" No it's fine! You can stay with us" she smiled.

" R-really...? Th-thank you..! Th-thank y-you s-so much...!" I thanked as tears threatened to spill.
