Chapter eighteen: Law's POV And The Happy Ending(?)

Law POV( a few days ago)

I was talking with Bebo when I heard a knock on the door. It was Scarlet. We had agreed to bring them to the next none-deserted island when we found them on a deserted one. She walked in and looked at Bepo.

" Who is she?" Asked Bepo. Scarlet blinked before nearly strangling the bear.

" Scarlet... please refrain from strangling my navigator" I put down my pen to look at them. Ringgg...rinnggg. I looked to the Den Den Mushi and picked it up as Gilbert slammed open the door and came in.

" Law?" Came a voice on the other side of the den den mushi. I instantly recognized the voice.

" Clifford. What do you want?" I demanded.

" Scarlet is on your boat isn't she?" Clifford asked ........How does he know?

" ....Yes" I hesitated to answer.

" Bring her to Punk Hazard. "he growled.

" ...What..?.. Why?" I demanded answers.

"I ....need to kill her...! So just do it" he ordered.

" But....-..... Yes...  Of course...." I hung up slowly and lowered my head. What is this? My heart aches. Why is it... that I don't want her.... to die...?"....Scarlet" I got her attention"I just got a call and I know where stray-hat-ya is now. I can bring you there"

" Really? That'd be great thanks!" Scarlet beamed.

" We'll stop at Griazel in three days for supplies and we'll stay for for a day before going to Punk Hazard, the island where straw-hat-ya is" I explained our route. They nodded and left the room.

A few days later

" You, Gilbert and I are going inside to meet with straw-hat-ya" I got off of our submarine.

" Whhy aren't the others coming?" Scarlet asked.

" We need some people to watch the ship and most people wouldn't want to go out in this kind of weather" I lied smoothly as I thought about my decision.

" Ohhh. Okay! Let's get going!" We made our way into the dark facility. I led her to the room where I said to meet with Clifford. I stopped in front of them." Ne, Law, I was wondering why you look so agitated?" Scarlet asked. She noticed. I grit my teeth. I-.... I regret... I regret my decision...

" .....I'm sorry Scarlet" I said as Clifford's men grabbed them. They knocked them out in one clean shot.

" Thank you Law. Now I can get my revenge" Clifford came out of hiding with a crazy grin.

" .....Why do you want to kill Scarlet?" I asked as his face twisted in anger and madness.

" ....She is the reason my little sister died." He answered simply and went to where Gilbert and Scarlet were.
I-... I am sorry.... Scarlet... I didn't want to betray you.... but I did....

Scarlet POV(continuing from the last chapter)

I can't tell him that I like him too... I'm too embarrassed!

" G-Gil...Thank you" I nervously smiled. He smiled back as I saw my uncle drop onto the ground with his head in his hands.

" ....Mikasa...! I knew I was wrong.....Yet I still did it....! I'm so sorry Mikasa.. I wanted to get revenge.. but by the time I found out, the culprit was already dead and I didn't have anyone else to blame..!" He apologized over and over again. Saying he was wrong. He looked so pitiful.  I walked up to him and knelt beside him.

" It's okay. I'm sure mom will forgive you and I don't think mom would want you to wast your life on revenge either" I tried to soothe him. He slowly calmed down and said two things I didn't think he would've said.

" I'm so sorry Scarlet! I know you can't forgive me but-"I cut him off.

" ..Uncle! Of course I forgive you....!"Tears slid down my cheeks as well. No, I wasn't sad. Not in the least. I was so happy. I .... I got back my kind and forgiving uncle....! Mom... I wish you were here.

" ....Thank you...! Scarlet..!" he said between sobs.

"Ahem..." Gil fake coughed." I think we should be finding Law and Luffy and the others now"

" Oh! Right. Oh, Clifford-san, this is Gilbert my.... um..." I stopped. What is Gil to me?

" I'm sorry about that. I'm Gilbert." He introduced himself.

" ....I'm Clifford, Scarlet's uncle. You may call me uncle as well" he smiled. Wait what?

" Hey!" I barged into the conversation" Don't leave me out of it!"  I flushed red. They looked and them smiled before laughing very hard.

" Don't laugh at me!" I pouted before sighing and laughing along.
